He came into the league putting up 21/12/2/2. In his late 30s, he was putting up 18/10/2/2 with good offensive efficiency. Between age 23 and age 35, he put up the type of numbers and had the type of defensive impact specifically that means that he has a legit claim to GOAT. If someone ranked him above LeBron, they would have an easy time making a reasonable argument for that ranking.

I have Duncan over Kobe all time and think it's crazy that Shaq and Duncan are just skipped over as far as even recent players. When they say Lebron is the most dominant since Jordan it's disrespectful to all three of them. Duncan with 5 titles as the man with two MVPs and his team never losing less than 50 games. Problem is Duncan wasn't a stat chaser and truly did was best for the team even if it hurt his numbers.
