Duncan would have like 2-3 extra rings if it weren’t for Shaq
Foh with Kobes not better than him

Kobe won in '01 and '08 but Duncan won in '99 and '034-2 kobe.

Kobe > Duncan >> Lebron
nikkas saying Kobe not better than Duncan even though he won just as many rings, beat him more times (used to give him that work) head 2 head in the offs, and been to the finals more time.
Lebron didn’t even have a winning record against the spurs in the finals so how is this even a conversation?
Lebron doesn’t have a winning record in the finals period
Kobe won in '01 and '08 but Duncan won in '99 and '03
Kobe only 2 rings won as the man vs. Duncan's 3, 1 MVP vs. 2, Duncan's 03 run >>>> Kobe's 09, you foh and I ain't even mention him
edit: nvm forgot '04
Yeah like Kobe ain't have Shaq while Duncan had flabby DRob, first three years of Tony Parker, and Rookie Stephen Jackson from 02-04, yall are shameless as hellKobe 01,02,04,08
And stop with this “man” talk. Why don’t you just look at what kobe was doing vs the spurs. Kobes finals stats with Shaq was still great.
The fact of the matter is the western conference finals was always the toughest matchup, and that’s when Kobe shined most.

Don't ever comment on sports again brehKobe topples Duncan head to head in the playoffs tho.
And no Lebron isn’t better than Duncan either. Lebron is Russel Westbrook with two lucky championships nothing more![]()
shyt look at some of the lineups Duncan won his titles with. One with Robinson on his last legs, a 20 year old Tony parker, raw as hell Stephen Jackson and before his prime Manu. Duncan had to put up 24,17, and 5 with 5 blocks a game to beat the Nets with the next highest scorer being Parker with 14 a game on 39% shooting. Took that team past Kobe and Shaq Lakers.Duncan better than a lot of people's favorite players, man has an incredible resume
b2b MVP, 3 rings as "the man", 5-1 in the finals, that godly '03 run, great prime compared to other great PFs
but shame on you morons for mentioning "he's 2-1 vs. Bron" like '07 wasn't one of the worst finals match-ups in NBA history, ain't not one player ever beating that Spurs team in their 4th year in the league or at 22 y/o with that Cavs squad.
I agree with all of that but still not as bad as that '07 Cavs team, Old Big Z averaging 12/10 in the offs was his second best playershyt look at some of the lineups Duncan won his titles with. Then won with a much better Manu, slightly improved Parker, Robert Horry and Bruce Bowen and a starting center of Nazr Mohammed or Nesterovic.
Hell even that Spurs team that beat Lebron's was mainly the big three of Manu, Duncan, and Parker and not much else at all. Not like they were a completely stacked team. Just speaks to the greatness of Duncan and the Spurs system to win so much without ever being super loaded talent wise.
GOATcan is 10x the player that LeBron is
if he played in the trash east with those stacked teams he'd had 8-9 rings

Nobody is knocking Duncan. He carried a couple squads too. They really didn’t add depth until his peak years were over and pop started managing his minutes. He was fortunate in the sense that the east was so bad from 1999-2004. The spurs had the good fortune of facing the Knicks and nets in the 1999 and 2003 finals. By the 2004-05 team, they had some firepower around Timmy though. Parker and Manu were combining to average 32 points and 10 assists while the spurs fielded the best defense in basketball so by the time they saw a real time in the finals in Detroit, Duncan had some help. The suns should’ve beaten them in 2005. Joe Johnson getting hurtshyt look at some of the lineups Duncan won his titles with.
