That's the point. Kobe has gotten to #2 and 3 on those all time lists by simply playing more games than most SGs. Kobe also set a new record for the most missed field goals all time...:aicmon:

And as for Lebron, who says he has to do things the way Jordan did? Jordan isn't Lebron. He's playing and winning his own way. He has to do it the EXACT way Jordan did or he's a failure? SMH.

Only if you include playoff numbers:ufdup:

But if you do that, Kobe will also be #1 on almost ALL stats.......so have it your way:shaq:

It's a damning set of stats. It's like Lenny Wilkins being #2 in all time coaching wins and #1 all time in all time coaching losses. Or Brett Favre having the most TDs and INTs all time.

Kobe is also 5th all time in turnovers. The point is that he's just been around for a long time and has played a lot of games so he's going to own all sorts of career records. The per game stats are a better indicator of statistical greatness. Jordan having the all time PPG average as a SG > Whatever career total stat Kobe is gunning for.

Btw, Lebron is 3rd all time in scoring average. Kobe is 11th. :troll:

I really do think the jordan years messed up the game in a sense. It was hero ball for so long that players after him just wanted to be the man damn the other teamates And their shots. Now you have a group of guys that seen that did not work paul james wade bosh and others that seen the kobe and shaq combo. That seen jordan and pippen seen the bad boys and they noticed great teams win not great players. If that was the case wilt would have won more that russel.

:mjpls:

I can name some weaknesses

Lack of aggression

Average jumpshot

Subpar post game

post game is the only truth...

just cuz his jumper is off the last two games doesnt give him an average jumper.. and as far as aggresion.. if they clog the lane with 3-4 bodies and you try to go through... your setting yourself up for some easy charge calls...

but he needs his jumper badly.

Lebron is not, and never was a point guard

he is a playmaker, but he is not a point guard. Mike Conley is a point guard.

I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS!!!

Mj might be the goat but that nikka ruined basketball.

Before him you never saw any superstars just dribble the clock down, shoot at the buzzer, keep the stroke up on some movie shyt :why:

Now that's what you HAVE to do. There's no Bird or Magic or Dr. J highlights of them waiting for the last second to shoot; they made the right play and just won. Bird's most looped highlight is a pass to DJ cause it was the right play, not the fancy one

I even heard people getting mad cause Bron hit a GW lay up and it wasn't a jumper :what:

I don't know how many games I saw Kobe lose trying to be like Jordan when he had wide open teammates or could have made a smart play instead of trying to be the hero :mindblown:
I wouldnt say Kobe lost games trying to be like MJ, but I agree with your thesis completely.

He's a natural passer. People talk about lack of aggression but that is only for his own offense. You rarely see Lebron lack aggressiveness when it comes to setting others up. That's what was so disgusting about 2011. Not that he wasn't trying to score but the fact that he was getting the fukk out of the way and not even trying to set others up. I think it's pretty safe to say that he didn't join a squad with Wade and Bosh in tow so that he could score 30 a night but that was too far. However I think he would be satisfied being a 20 and 10 type player. What's funny is that for years guys who scored a lot caught shyt and all-round unselfish guys were considered "winners". It was actually thought that a scoring champ couldn't win until Mike did what he did. It is humorous how the shyt has flipped.

MJ did it. (With a little help from Gatorade and Nike). He created a generation of wanna-be's. One of them was Kobe. Which spawned the Kobe fan generation. Their minds can't comprehend a superstar who likes to pass, rebound, defend...

All they know is that a superstar should be explosive dunks & ball-hogging, especially late in the game. Teammates aren't teammates anymore, they're "role-players" ...

Thanks MJ:snoop:

If Gatorade, Nike, or Hanes cultivated how you view a basketball player. ...you lost.

So Kobe doesn't like to defend? Granted not as much in his older days but he was a great, ferocious defender. LeBron is as much a product of the highlight generation which has a lot of your minds warped ... if it wasn't for his chase down blocks nikkas wouldn't be touting him as this all-world defender.

And then to say Kobe doesn't like to rebound when he is frequently tops, if not THE #1 rebounder at his position. You could've just written your post starting off with, "I hate Kobe. Now that that's out of the way..."
