I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS!!!

Mj might be the goat but that nikka ruined basketball.

Before him you never saw any superstars just dribble the clock down, shoot at the buzzer, keep the stroke up on some movie shyt :why:

Now that's what you HAVE to do. There's no Bird or Magic or Dr. J highlights of them waiting for the last second to shoot; they made the right play and just won. Bird's most looped highlight is a pass to DJ cause it was the right play, not the fancy one

I even heard people getting mad cause Bron hit a GW lay up and it wasn't a jumper :what:

I don't know how many games I saw Kobe lose trying to be like Jordan when he had wide open teammates or could have made a smart play instead of trying to be the hero :mindblown:

The thing about it, Jordan could play like Bron if he wanted to, but Bron can't play like Jordan.

Jordan actually played some PG during his early years with the Bulls. They moved him to PG .In '89, the Bulls played MJ at pg over the last 5 weeks of the season......He had 10 triple doubles in 10 out of 11 games he played at PG ....Yeah, you read that right...10 outta 11.....He came close to having a triple double in all 11, but came up 3 rebounds short in one game...40 points...11 assist...and 7 boards

Jordan may have missed some game winners in the regular season, but in the biggest games/biggest moments(I.E...Playoffs...NBA Finals), he wasn't fukking around.I can't remember him missing ANY big shots in those moments:yeshrug:....That's pretty damn incredible if you think about it.If you gave him the chance to kill you, you got slayed

Who's to say Jordan's way was wrong when he could've legitimately won 8 consecutive title if he didn't retire in between those 3 peats?

I'm not a big MJ fan but there's no doubt he's the goat. He won, any way he could. I remember being a kid watching him and being utterly surprised when he missed a jump shot after making like 6-7 in a row.

I just have a problem with how MJ's way has become the way. I mean Magic was the nicest person on the court, smiling all 48 minutes. Then Jordan came with the killer attack mode and now that's the only way to be. Some guys are just nice, that doesn't mean they don't have that killer instinct and don't want to win.

I just have a problem when any new star comes along and it always goes back to MJ, and how if they don't do it exactly how like he did it it's inferior :manny:

When I say killer, I don't mean personality and disposition.I go by a players ability to execute in the clutch. To cease the moment and close teams out.

You can still be a great player without that.Like you said, I don't think Magic was a killer. He hit a few clutch shots, but that wasn't really his game.

But I do rank great players with the ability to go into killer mode above all others. They're the greatest of the great to me.

I don't see anybody in this generation capable of knocking MJ off the throne.Kobe came the closest.

Like I said in that Dr.J thread, I think Bron is wired more like Magic & Kidd than he is MJ & Kobe..

Don't get me wrong, he's still a basketball phenomenon who puts up crazy stats, but the element I'm talking about goes beyond stats. It's some game within the game type shyt.

Lebron said his favorite player growing up was penny. Wasn't penny a point guard?:manny:

Plus Lebrons game is nothing like Jordan's. People just compare them for tv ratings....and because MJ is the GOAT.

These MJ/Kobe to LBJ comparisons so damn corny. If you can't accept the fact that LBJ might be the most complete player to ever play the game, then you are either extremely biased or stupid. He has that passing gift that only guys like J-Kidd and Magic have. He's a physical freak who can out-rebound just about anybody. He can get to the hole at will. His He's improved so much on the parts of his game that needed it (jump shot, post game) and he's still getting better. No other player (Not MJ or anybody else) has done or can do what he can do on both ends of the floor from positions 1-5. Period.

I really don't know how yall can sit here and act like he's an inferior player to Kobe or MJ. At 22 the nikka took Ray Charles, Stephen Hawking, Michael J. Fox, and Stevie Wonder to the Finals for Christ sake. They ran into the prime Spurs, and the thing people tend to forget is that Cleveland wasn't even supposed to beat that elite Detroit team in the ECF. Now the 2011 Finals? Thats a different story. I can make no excuses for him there...it was bsolutely embarrassing.

Sure, he doesn't have the storybook career that MJ did, but NOBODY else really has that. QUIT USING MJ AS THE STANDARD FOR GREATNESS. We know he's the GOAT. You bitter ass nikkas need to learn how to watch and enjoy what these guys are doing while they're here. LeBron in his prime and lets let him finish writing his legacy before we start comparing him to the legends.

(Just realized how bored i am after typing all that. Anyways, have a good day brehs :salute: )

people were making the magic comparison since hs tbh but we're in the post-Jordan NBA. he's so much more imposing than even magic was that no one accepts he's a pg and in fairness he moves w/o the ball. lebron's just a player just how oscar was.

Exactly!!! :myman: What's even crazier is that Jordan was criticized for doing it his way early on. He was considered too selfish and a gunner. Real winners at that time were unselfish team players like Magic. Now if it ain't like MJ it ain't right. :mindblown: It never ceases to amaze me how shyt flips and nikkas have no problem flipping with it.
