The year that I felt that he should have done it was when Nike REALLLLLY put the battery in his back with the "The Lebrons" commercials and all that other hoopla. I'm thinking that was the 2006-2007 season.

There is no excuse for Bron not doing the dunk contest. Could you imagine Vince just saying nah? Or Michael? Or Nique? These new age players contributed to the the fast and steady decline of All Star Saturday. Why hasn't Russ ever done one? Wiggins is a huge fakkit as well for his reasoning.
This is like Steph not doing a 3 point contest because he feels it's beneath him. That's the analogous situation. Or Ray Allen, Peja, Bird etc not doing it. I have no interest in NBA All Star events anymore past the 3 point competition.
