Its personally happened to me, have seen it happen to other women. Also have people tell me or read post in threads about it.

My personal experience. I have been walking by & had a group of black teens yell out " Do something with your hair!" when I first went natural.

I had dudes make fun of how skinny I was for a black girl.

Ive been at work and a black male co-worker comment on my butt size in front of a black male supervisor

I've had black male supervisor compare my hair to Ben Wallace when was going natural, this dude used to make fun of me in front of other black male co-workers.

I used to get picked on for wearing weave. And also got made fun of for going natural.

I saw a black dude call a chick "ugly" to her face, in front of people by the way. When her friends told him she thought it was cute.

Its fine if guys dont believe me but when the Me Too & Colorism movement starts moving to Black Entertainment Industry & in real life some of the stuff myself and other women have talked about will be confirmed. A lot of rappers, athletes, actors and even regular 9-5 dudes will start losing their jobs.

'Straight Outta Compton' -- Casting Agency Admits Mistake ... Not All Poor People Are Fat and Dark

Straight Out of Compton casting call

The people behind the "Straight Outta Compton" movie say they're NOT just casting overweight, dark-skinned black girls to play "poor" people in the movie ... telling TMZ the casting ad was an "innocent mistake."

The ad went viral -- with the casting company inviting L.A.-based women to apply for one of several categories of extras that will be featured in the film.

The casting agency used an A, B, C, D scale to group the women. Here's the breakdown:

A) "Hottest of the hottest. Models" (open to women of any race)
B) "Fine ... Beyonce is a protoype here" (light-skinned women)
C) African American girls ... Medium to light skinned with a weave
D) "These are African American girls. Poor, not in good shape. Medium to dark skin tone."

People were upset ... since the "D" group was the only group associated with an economic class -- "poor" -- and it was made up of only dark-skinned, out of shape black women.

But we spoke with a rep for Sande Alessi Casting who tells us ... the ad was an "innocent mistake" -- and when it comes to casting the "poor" people, they're also looking for women of various skin tones and body types.

As for people who claim the A,B,C,D grouping system was racist -- Sande Alessi Casting says it's the usual method they use to look for different types of people for any project and it wasn't meant to offend anyone.

Man this is gonna sound sexist coming from me.... but there are certain subjects and topics that I simply do not engage with women on. I won't even entertain debate if they instigate it

I just don't care about their opinion on certain things.

This is one of them :yeshrug:
I respect u for admitting that ur sexist

Previous literature reports that obese persons are discriminated in the workplace. Evidence suggests that obese people are perceived as having less leadership potential, and in comparison to normal weight peers, are expected to be less successful. This study examined whether obese people are discriminated against when applying for employment. Three hypotheses were offered in line with previous research: (1) obese people are less likely to be assessed positively on personnel suitability than normal weight people; (2) obese people in active employment are more likely to be discriminated against than people in non-active employment; and (3) obese women are more likely to be discriminated against than obese men. 181 Participants were sampled from sedentary, standing, manual and heavy manual occupations. Participants rated hypothetical candidates on their suitability for employment. Employees also completed measures of implicit and explicit attitudes toward obesity. MANOVA was conducted to examine if obese candidates were discriminated against during the recruitment procedure. Results demonstrated that participants rated obese candidates as less suitable compared with normal weight candidates and when the weight status of the candidate was not revealed for work across the four workplace groups. Participant gender and weight status also impacted perceptions of candidates’ suitability for work and discrimination toward obese candidates was higher in participants from more physically demanding occupations. The study findings contribute to evidence that obese people are discriminated against in the hiring process and support calls for policy development.

And in fact, colorism in various areas of American life has been studied before. In his write up of the new research, Pacific Standard's Tom Jacobs summed up the findings of previous studies on the topic, with conclusions including:

Study: lighter-skinned black and Hispanic people look smarter to white people
Nope, still doesn't prove what you're speaking on in parallel, there hasn't been any comparative study.
Nor does this study have the parameters (fat, dark) combined in comparison with the other factors.
These studies show that both dark(ER) skinned black men AND black women face discrimination...There is no targeted "misogynoir" for black women, nor can you force the data to correlate.
"If fat and if woman and dark, these separate studies" NO, nikka. That's not how things work.
