Is Little Brother's "Speed" one of the GOAT songs by an "underground" group ever?

Play the album at least once eEVERY summer. The album personally means a lot to me. I burned a copy on disc and remember listening to the album for the first time on a spring time trip to help my sister move out her dorm. It was a beautiful sunny day perfect weather. Whenever I listen to that album I think of that trip and whenever I drive long distance in similar situations I reminisce on THAT day and THAT trip and THAT album.

I still don't understand why "Whatever You Say", "Take It Slow", and "Breakin My Heart", weren't the first singles off their respective albums.

Whatever You Say was the first single off The Listening. A lot of people think it was Speed but it wasn't. First single was Whatever You Say and 2nd single was The Way You Do It.
Those other 2 were so close to being singles man, but just didn't happen. Slow it Down would've been the 2nd single for Minstrel Show but Atlantic didn't wanna put anymore money into a 2nd single.

As others have said...the vocal sample takes the song from being amazing to timeless for me. One of my favorites of all time.
