Albums i really liked were TOAPF,GRODT and Documentary. Get rich soundtrack, that's the only ones i find myself still bumpin

True, each to their own I guess. That soundtrack was dope for sure, everyone was on form on that.

I still don't understand how the Mobb album was so average, they dropped so much heat on the G Unit mixtapes as well. They went for a too commercial / polished sound.

Good album, but is faaaaaar from classic. The song "Til The End" will always remind me of my junior year in High School which was the last year I spent at my high school before I had to transfer to a different one for Senior year

Good album, but no.

This is just another example of how the word "Classic" gets thrown around to much in hip-hop.

That's the thing though, Jay-Z's first album only sold 26k and obviously was thought of as wack for the time being until later on, so who are you or I to dictate what the word classic can be used in terms of context when speaking in consideration of albums that have been released in this decade. It's 2013, I think its safe to say we can start naming CDs classics and HFM is a classic and shoutout to everyone who listed off Yayos first album, I thought I was the only nikka who fukked with that. I think there's just too many dusty ass retrospect ass nikkas on here who listen to illmatic in their room with candles lit and try to envision themselves back in the 90's even tho they were born in 97 or some shyt like that. Yaw need to move on hop off that dikk riding cause you know G unit one of the best hip hop groups with a solid category.

Banks doesn't get the credit he deserves. He's been puttin out quality music for awhile now. And there aint too many nikkas fukkin with him on some lyrical shyt.

Maybe its just me, but it seems like he don't really fukk with 50 too much anymore. Seems like he doin his own thing...which is ok. I feel likes he's at the point where he doesn't need G unit anymore

Remember listening to this album that summer when I was on Vacation in NY, also remember jamming this while walking to the Rucker. Album isn't a classic, but damn it was a real good album.

nikka not even, it's pretty clear though that yaw are washed the fukk up since max b went to prison. Sad thing is today's NY MCs get supported cause they're from NY, it's like having a brother who plays basketball but sits on the bench during games, but you still go to see his games anyway cause he's your brother. These NY nikkas are trash these days.

Anyway back to my thread, how yaw feel about this album

:skip:

Everybody wanna be an NY rap connoisseur. I bet you don't even understand half the shyt NY nikkas be talkin about in their lyrics. Rap period is trash these days, but I see you singling out NY nikkas :steviej:

These beats didn't stand the test of time. Banks is a beast but I constantly skip tracks on this album.

Personal classic to me. Banks was on point throughout, had some gun talk tracks, party tracks and story tellin tracks so its a pretty well rounded album.

And banks was putting in work throughout. Flow was on point on every track.

I still fukk with a couple of the 5 or better series mixtapes more then this though.
