That's the thing though, Jay-Z's first album only sold 26k and obviously was thought of as wack for the time being until later on.
Someone is rewriting/remembering history different because I can't remember anyone shytting on Reasonable Doubt when it came out. It was a strong, well received debut in 1996 and has aged like fine wine. And sales don't mean shyt. Illmatic did not go platinum until 2001 and that album is the definition of a classic. I can't say the same for THFM or any G-Unit album with the exception of GRODT.

And the word classic does get thrown around to much. I've seen people give Wayne's Carters 1-3 classic status, Young Buck's SOC classic status, and any Eminem album a classic status on here. Well, MMLP is debatable. I'm not saying that none of those albums or Bank's debut are good, they're not classic.
