Is Los Angeles overrated ?

manhattan is new york city. and no new yorkers include long island
nyc is big as fck, ppl who havent been there or have only been to manhattan assume the entire city is just like midtown.

i have family that lives in forest hills in queens (random street above), sht is nothing like what i expected nyc to be like.

Im not saying the whole place is like the city center. Just overall crowded. EVERY CITY has it's towncenter where the mass crowd is far more dense than other places. I've been to a few places in NY and to me i see crowd.

P.S. I actually dont think ive ever been to Manhattan or spent much time there. The few times ive been to NY its bee for business and visiting faily (funeral). Never time to play tourist but the little bit that I see tells me enought.

Same for Londo by the way tho, when i was there it was during the olympics so the whole world was there too but i see the residential areas.

Only in Glendale...and North Hollywood. That's where you will find the most.

Is thr traffic REALLY that bad? Is it due to lack of freeways or overpopulation?

Its that bad to people who are used to public transportation. If anything, its severely overrated.

Russians are mostly in Hollywood but a lot of us are moving out here to the valley now.

My 2 older stepsisters live out there so they gave me the lowdown and I knew what to expect.

One thing I will say this about LA. Thats a dirty ass city.

There is a niche for everyone in los angeles and its actually not that dirty. Just not much nature.

South Florida does what LA does, but much better. So yes, it's overrated.

I felt LA was overrated when I first moved here from the east coast. 5 years later, it has grown on me now that I know more than the touristy areas. Secluded beaches that feel like a remote country....mountain trails with unbelivable scenery....cheap authentic ethnic food (chinese, thai, vietnamese, mexican, persian, indian, hawaiian, etc)....more spots to buy piff than anywhere in the world BY FAR...proximity to Vegas...continual rotation of fresh aspiring models and actress hoping to make it...
