There is a niche for everyone in los angeles and its actually not that dirty. Just not much nature.

I agree with there is a niche for everyone. I met some cool peeps out there that I'm still cool with today and found a few lowkey spots that are real dope.

Not alot of nature, but the hills are beautiful.

But I just thought streets were flithy, Downtown LA was a clusterfukk, Bums everywhere. Especially in Hollywood.

How long ago with this? Downtown LA has cleaned up nice. Still bums but they're everywhere, even in the cleaner areas like San Diego.

For 1000 you won't find anything much nicer than a cool studio or something in the hood. 1200-1500, you can already get a good one bedroom tho.

:mjpls:

You can find a pretty decent spot for $1000. My spot is 875 and I live in a clean neighborhood with pretty much everything within in minutes (mall, gym, grocery, food joints).

You're missing out on a lot of beautiful things in this city.

The Getty Center

The Botanical Gardens.

Mountain tops. To name a few. Lot of sites outside of those tourist attractions.

People shyt on the natural parts of the city...but there are some undeniably beautiful areas within an hours drive of downtown.

Bridge To Nowhere - Azusa

my favorite spot to go blaze and destress. the actual bridge is a 4.5 mile hike, where you have to cross a river a few times (about knee deep). its real peaceful, inspiring, etc. there's a group that bungee jumps every weekend off that bridge...i did it back when i first moved out here. thats how i found the area

Malibu Creek - Calabasas
rock-pool-at-malibu-creek.jpg

quick hike (about 30 mins) leads to this natural pool that people rock jump into. its a chill area where people picnic all day, hangout, etc

El Matadaor Beach - Malibu

not a lot of people know about this beach, so you don't get the weekend crowds like in Santa Monica & Venice. it's so chill and secluded that it's an unofficial nude beach...(nude beaches are not allowed in LA or Malibu). The rock formations at the edge of the beach make it feel private.

there's plenty of other spots, but I'm not giving up all my secrets
