Is Mace Windu and Yoda to blame for Anakin turning to the dark side?

In the novel ‘Darth Plagueis,’ (DOPE book, btw) at Qui Gon’s funeral, Sidious is heartbroken that Maul has died (they had developed a father-son relationship) and vows that ten thousand Jedi will join Qui Gon on the funeral pyre for Maul’s death :wow:
That kind funny going by the star wars cartoons Sidious view maul as nothing more but a useful tool .

Well, his original reason to train Maul was to create an expendable assassin to carry out missions for him and Plagueis, and Sidious was definitely a brutal master to Maul, but not unkind. They’re even pretty close in The Phantom Menace if you observe

I think sidious kindness to maul is like that a master to his train attack dog. maul never show sign of wanting to take sidious place. and I guess sidious greatly appreciated that he did not have to look over his shoulder when dealing with maul compare how he act when around count dooku who really did act out sith apprentice role of the rule of two.

Exactly. Maul worshipped Sid. Although, Sidious never told Maul about Plagueis, he let Maul think they were the only two Sith in the galaxy :lolbron:

The Jedi are wrong for only teaching the Light, they must teach students to be also fully aware of, intergrate & control their Darkside otherwise they will be possessed by the Darkside in the future and not have the skills and training to handle it. I know George Lucas found the inspiration for the force from Roman Kroitor but Carl Yung came 1st and best encapsulated this philosophy.
According to Jungian psychology it is important to accept the existence of your shadow (dark-side) and combine it with the light-side to create full balance. The darkside has some useful qualities especially for people with low self-esteem who want to please everyone. Most powerful individuals have fully accepted their darkside and use it properly.
The light-side is essentially the side of your personality that the conscious mind is aware and familiar with while the darkside is what lies hidden unkown in the depths of your sub-conscious.

Carl Yung: "Everyone carries a shadow, and the less it is embodied in the individual's conscious life, the blacker and denser it is. In terms of the story of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, it must be Jekyll, the conscious personality, who integrates the shadow ... and not vice versa. Otherwise the conscious becomes the slave of the autonomous shadow. Assimilation of—rather than possession by—the shadow becomes at last a real possibility."

Another philosopher Kaufman said:" "in spite of its function as a reservoir for human darkness, the shadow is the seat of creativity, the dark side of his being, his sinister shadow... represents the true spirit of life as against the arid scholar".
(I do not fully accept the idea that scholars are creatively arid since I consider myself a creative scholar, but their is some truth to this looking at majority of uninspiring scholarly class.)
CONCLUSION: Don't fight the darkside, assimilate it into your consciousness :demonic:
"The conscious mind is liable to be submerged at any moment in the unconscious... understanding acts like a life-saver. It integrates the unconscious—reincorporates the shadow into the personality, producing a stronger, wider consciousness than before. Assimilation of the shadow gives a man body, so to speak, and provides thereby a launching-pad for further individuation. The integration of the shadow, or the realization of the personal unconscious, marks the first stage of the analytic process...without it a recognition of anima & animus is impossible. Conversely to the degree to which the shadow is recognised and integrated, the problem of the anima, i.e., of relationship, is constellated and becomes the centre of the individuation quest.

Nevertheless, Jungians warn that "acknowledgement of the shadow must be a continuous process throughout one's life"; and even after the focus of individuation has moved on to the animus/anima, "the later stages of shadow integration" will continue to take place—the grim "process of washing one's dirty linen in private", accepting one's shadow.

The jedi code in general was responsible for it. Their structure was just too strict and conservative. That combined with their hardline policy on emotional attachments pretty much guaranteed that something like Anakin's turn was eventually going to happen.
