I think people need to understand what "classic" means. It doesn't mean 10/10 and also there's no such thing as "not a classic to me"

It was either a major event in the game or not. Who cares if you liked it.

The fact of the matter is you could ask every rapper and 90% of them would say MBDTF had an impact, therefore it's classic.

Yeah its a classic to me. My only real problem with the album is Ross of Devil in a new dress. That beat change was wasted on him and just overall kills my enjoyment of the song. I just go "why Kanye?" :mindblown: every time I hear the song.

Runaway
Dark Fantasy
Power
Blame Game
So Appalled

All of those are :lawd: status.

Umm, Ross destroyed Devil in a New Dress. One of his best verses ever.

it is to me.

my 3rd favorite Kanye West album tho. It might better than late registration but late registration is more my cup of tea

I think it is

musically it's very diverse, lyrically it's on point and it's emotional; there's no filler tracks

You just come off as a troll when you say stuff like that. Name your 100.
I know it seems like that but when you think about 100 rappers isn't that abundant especially if you include rappers from all eras 80s through 2000s

If it isn't classic it's damn close to being then. This is a great album that is basically flawless so I can see why cats think it's a classic but it's also kind of different too so I can see why others would say that it isn't.

The original dude you quoted is right. I thought it was me just being in contempt. His verse had nothing to do with the song and was an easy topic at that. His verse and flow was hard but not on the correct subject matter.

One would be hard pressed to name 100 rappers who have put out at least one really good album much less 100 that has done as much as Kanye.

I would go for this argument, but there's definitely a double standard. Most rappers go off topic on their songs like 90% of the time but aren't called out on it. Especially when they're just a guest appearance. If the verse is hot, it's hot. Try watching this and tell me it's not hot, with no Kanye in it you can't bring up the "off-topic" argument:
