Is Mega Man a dead franchise at this point?

Random thought I was thought MMX never tried to switch the castle stages. For example have sigma merge two Mavericks like Flash Man & Astro Man to make stronger twisted version boss forcing you to figure out your weapon weaknesses while still being a skill check.

1. Mega man beat em up with random blasters... pick from mega man. proto. zero. roll. x.. secret dlcs. lots of potential here.

2. a 2 player game like contra/cuphead but following the tried and true format of mega man.

3. mega man game like Metroid.. but paint it like fortress/fortnight..
