bone was clearly more popular.

wutang had the east. bone had the rest of the map.

You can't really say that either, since Wu had collabos all over the place...way more guest appearances than Bone. All I can say is that Bone's singles were more popular.

They were more popular for one album cycle: E. 1999. They were not more popular before that. And they were not more popular after that. They had no lasting cultural impact either. Wu-Tang Forever and The Art Of War both dropped in 1997 and Wu sold more.

Wu also had a multitude of platinum and gold solo albums. That is definitely a reflection of the clout the Wu name carried for a decade plus. Compare that to Bone's solo albums which aside from Krayzie and Bizzie's first albums all went double tinfoil.

MAJOR disappointment. Meth was featured on "All Eyez On Me" AND "Ready To Die" (let that sink in for a moment.)

He still cool, though.

His career turned out fine. As popular as Method Man was, certain artist are more suited for a group. Guys like Method Man & there's plenty of others (I'm not gonna derail this thread), I just don't see them as true solo artist.

Of course I have different expectations for certain artist. I'm able to differentiate a true solo artist from a group artist.

Method Man is nice but u kinda knew he wasn't gonna put out albums consistently go as GZA nor Face.

He was the most popular because his style adapted to the main stream culture more than the other rappers. Not because he was the nicest
