Also, a lot of cacs were penning some of our favorite songs from back in the day.

Rod Temperton’s writing credits blew my mind.:mindblown:

Same with Jay Graydon. He produced a lot of great songs for Black artists

Most kids aren’t learning music in schools or churches like they used to, so musicianship is dying as a result.

These record labels don’t want black folks making ownership moves. They don’t want another Michael Jackson, Prince, Pac, or Public Enemy. All of them will have black folks thinking too much and making power moves with their business.

Social media has a lot of young people brainwashed. Too many young folks today have zero knowledge of music, music history, or their history as a people and they only see rap as an easy money get rich quick scheme.

Finally, there’s us. We have to demand better than the trash they’re promoting in the mainstream.

Not at all i love beats and beat making (i'm cooking up as we speak) but i can always be honest about music. musicians vibing in the same space make magic. one man in a room with a drum machine cannot come close. all that soul and vibration is what was sampled and sought after in samples. you can replicate sounds and instruments have all the digital tools to do it but you won't get the intricate details down the same way and our ears are expert at detecting all that is there and all that isn't.

music is spiritual energy and vibrations. 1 and 0's can cannot replace just emulate.

You have the talking points of a 1950s jazz musician.

And you make beats...like hip-hop beats :dahell:

Yes why is that so jarring to you? You can hear what music lost if you listen. The taking points are not from 1950. Recorded musics peak is 60-70 in terms of quality.
