Service industry was great to me. I was 19 years old making >$40K untaxed. Despite what you cheap ass dudes may tend to believe, there's not THAT many of you out there in terms of percentages. You stingy weirdos are in the minority. So servers still make solid money because most people are aware of what comes along with going out to eat. Do you though, just don't be shocked when you see a booger chillin in that iced tea the server just brought you.

You bi-polar crazies kill me. The whole premise of this thread is the service industry crying buckets because customers arent tipping high enough. Then when challenged, you guys revert to caking and eating mode, and start crowing over how well you were compensated as a waiter. LOL.

Cutting hair is actual skill and service. Taking a basic order and handing it to a cook, and filling my water glass isnt particularly skillful. Waiters are dime a dozen and disposable --- thats why its heavily populated with younger workers, and not particularly valued.

This whole argument of yours is race-oriented --- plain and simple. Owner sht on workers left and right, but your corporatized a$$ has been trained to never question them, and accept it. Customers, predominately black, dont tip as well as you demand, and you're quick to call them names and suggest nasty retribution like damaging the food they PAID for. In essence, you shy away from challenging those in power and pick on vulnerable targets. Thats the sign of a puzzy, and if ur puzzy a$$ is ever caught spitting in someone's food, not only are you breaking the law but you're liable to get your stupid a$$ kicked all over the linoleum floor in the restaurant.

Also, I've worked on tips before, but not in the food industry...I used to be a stock-boy when I was 21, putting tv's and appliances in peoples cars, trucks, etc....and black people used to tip me pretty well. A lotta people used to stiff me and say shyt like "what days do you work, I'll come back and take care of you" but the only person who ever actually did come back and give me 20 bucks was a black woman.

Maybe black people just appreciate hard work

Regular meal I put down at least $10. Thats on a $40 check, anything higher I put down $20.


I started tipping when picking up Pizza cause them chicks be loosing a tip by waiting on the counter.

This thread is about a minority (as in, a small number, not a particular sect of people) not understanding what going out to eat actually entails. Like I said, you cheap ass weirdos are in the minority, that's why people in college can take jobs in the service industry and make ends meet; because a majority of people DO tip, and tip sufficiently. But y'all like to pretend like you're not part of a very small percentage of people who don't tip or tip very little to make yourselves feel better.

When someone takes care of you, you take care of them. If you don't want to reciprocate, then no one is forcing you to go out, go to Mickie D's or stay at home. at going to a REALLY nice restaurant and not slipping the Maitre d' a little something to seat you faster... your girl is looking at you like because you've been standing there for an hour just looking at the Maitre d' like after seeing people come in and get seated before you, meanwhile he's at you in his head because there's people lining his pockets to get seated and you're pacing around the lobby like a chump while your girl's stomach growls like the Cloverfield monster
