Nas is you favorite rappers favorite rapper

even the younger generation know from the north to the south and out west whats up

...nas inspires the non-rappers too:ahh:

Those are pretty much people in the same industry cosigning each other. What most of the people are saying is nas is nas but he doesn't get praised or brought up nearly as much as yall make it seem

Yeah that's my bad, i was going off the original post. Usually on thecoli "goat" and "favorite" mean the same shyt. I don't know why you keep bringing up the radio shyt. unless you listening to kday where they play old shyt, you're not hearing recent nas songs. That's not how LA radio works. Idk why that's so hard for you to understand. The question was asked is he called great offline, and like i said I've only heard one nikka praise nas in my whole life. Nas is a fukking legend, i don't know why you keep making him doing concerts in cali a huge accomplishment. nikkas do concerts in cali everyday breh.

You stated, "Nas is a fukking legend." My understanding of a legend is a famous or important person who is known for doing something extremely well. A legend leaves behind an unforgettable impression on others. They touch lives, they’re remembered, they’re cherished. Becoming a legend means finding your particular role, your calling, following it, and being able touch others around you (i.e. peers/fans). But it seems you are trying to downplay his impact due to the lack of his music on California radio and knowing one person that praised him. So I ask you: Does not hearing Nas on the radio or having known one person in your life praise him deminish his this legendary accomplishments? Kanye asked us, "What does it take to be LEGEND like Nas?"

that's proof enough that his praise isn't confined to online

What most of the people are saying is nas is nas but he doesn't get praised or brought up nearly as much as yall make it seem

Are we talking hiphop heads or casual listeners? His praise from hiphop heads is undeniable. It you're talking casual listeners, you would have a point.

If Nas' peers praise him and his fans praise him whose praise is suppose to matter nearly as much?

Casual or not most people bring up Nas just to be polite. Nas makes the kinda music most people would rather hear in a movie or a video game or a commercial... Most people find him lackluster :manny:

The public shows him the same respect they would show someone like krs etc.... OG'S that paved the the way but no one gives a fukk

I'm convinced you nikkas live in trailer parks, no offense or nothin like that, but just reading the original thread and the posts that followed, :bryan:.

Of course if you mention Nas, Rakim, Cube, Ghostface, Common, (anyone who isn't on the radio/blogs/clubs 100x a day), to the average country bumpkin/youngin they'll look at you crazy and tell you that Gucci Mane and TI and these nikkas are the GOATS ahead of them. It's not an online thing, it's a out of town/young idiot thing.

Lets not forget to add typical east coast elitist/idiots to those demographics:sas1:....you mention Cube and nwa and idiots say Dmx,Jadakiss and Mobb deep is better:mjlol:

And Nas is a rappers rapper,so his peers respecting him is sumwhat irrelevent...rappers alot of times praise other rappers who people really dont give a damn about in real life....you really think nikkas got Andre 3K in they top 5's outchea:pachaha:?

I do know some Nas fans though, you must be young if you dont know any.....cuz in every corner of the globe these backpackers/"real hiphop heads exist....and cant wait to tell you about how great guys like Nas,Wutang,Kendrick Lamar and J Cole are:snoop:.....i dont know if they exist in the younger generation too much though:jbhmm:

People hype up pac because a lot of them wanna live out their gangsta fantasy.

Jay-Z gets his hype from the media.

Biggie gets his from every rapper worth a damn.

Nas don't really have that type of dying love like that ya know.:yeshrug:

Only on the Internet Nas is the GOAT...

Only on the Internet Nas won the battle, with only 1 diss song smh...

Most overrated MC of all time

Thanks for breaking it down for me I knew he was great but I didn't know the best way to break it down for others that only focused on who were more mainstream artists or artists with much stronger radio play.
