He's a legitimate GOAT. candidate so the answer is no..
he's the rapper to be compared to. He makes a statement on a song and for the next few years people still talk about it (referring to the Hip Hop Is Dead phase). He should be rated highly because he is a great lyricist, his subject matter is diverse and well thought out, and most importantly he has had a major impact on just about every MC that has been introduced to the game since he emerged. His high rating can also be attributed to the fact that he raised the bar that Rakim, Kane, Kool Moe Dee, and KRS set. He is usually one of your favorite rapper's favorite rapper. You can't deny the effects that he has caused in the game.

I Am is dope as fukk to me, Nastradamous is wack but one bad album pre 2001 isn't too bad. He already had 3 straight great albums prior to that.
