Sam Presti is the issue. Hes also the guy that never found a starting shooting guard. remember early on they had thabo at SG...than drafted andre robertson at Sg now got terrance ferguson. All guys who cant create their own shot or shoot who started besides RUSS man smh.

They had lamb who they definitely needed last night lol. anyways i dunno if presti was trying to create some new niche's out of shooting guards but it failed.

Kind of hard to imagine another team essentially losing out on the odds. 1/3 odds to get it right.

I remember when they traded Harden. I couldnt belive the Rockets gave up peanuts for an emerging star. I knew hed be a legit All-Star. Westbrook's game was being shyted on harder back then after the Finals. Marbury, Francis, Arenas were all the ones he was being compared to. Braun vs brains in so little words.
lol at brauns vs brains...fans need to stop talking about IQ.

arenas and marbury were skilled and had high IQ but wre on sorry teams.

They had Reggie Jackson too

:mjlol: Deadass are you Reggie Jackson? Because nobody on this forum would even think to mention dude, much less in this thread

We acting like Reggie Jackson wasn't a key role player on that squad:skip:

We know he wasn't Dame Lillard or Steph Curry but he was a developing pg that could start and did start for an NBA team after he left the squad.

Y'all really want every player to be damn LeBron James on steroids with a three pointer to qualify for being nice. Role players help out the team too.:gucci:

Not even close

And it’s amazing how nobody wants to believe that the Thunder with all those guys still would have not won a title.

It’s hard to believe that 3 future MVPs would win a title...? Fine if you feel that way, but don’t act like people are stupid for not riding with you on that opinion.

Kevin Martin was a capable 2 guard but even he said tryna get the ball away from KD and Russ was next to impossible. Theres a reason Harden came off the bench just not enough balls to go around so presti just went defense at the 2 position.

He made a mistake. But there are far worse owners out there

But don’t do revisionist history. Who would have thought Harden would be this good at time of trade?

And they didn’t think they would ever lose Durant the way they did
Harden was clearly an All-Star level player :francis:

Sarver is the worst. He was gift wrapped the Seven Seconds or Less Suns and managed to screw that up. He's cheap, a control freak, and very impatient.

If Sarver just paid Joe Johnson the Suns could have won at least 1 NBA Title.

The Suns can't attract good coaches, front office staff, and good veteran players because the team is always in dysfunction and has a bad culture. All which starts from the top.

Right now the leading candidate for the head coach position is another assistant coach. Which Sarver will probably give him the cheapest salary he can.

I bet management is also being paid the lowest salaries compared to all the teams in the league.

He really can't afford the Suns and he is basically holding the team back.

.

The team is worth 1.5 billion.

James Harden wasn’t gonna be winning any future MVP’s off their bench. The money is one thing, but part of why they didn’t wanna max him out was because they viewed him as their Ginobili. That fact gets lost on too many people. Until they had a philosophical change on that, that was a bigger hurdle than the money, and if they did change their minds, that woulda been at the expense of Westbrook. They couldn’t look together the way they look separately and that’s all forgetting that they woulda still lacked a big man and a bench.

Victor Oladipo is another example of this.
