I always thought it was becuz Brooks wouldn't give him the time. I remember when KD was hurt that season that he shined in certain spots. Not sure what really happened.

The Knicks should give him a shot.

I'll trade Carmelo Anthony and his Ghostbusters outfit for him.

He'd be a good look for the Cavs if he can hit the three, haven't checked his D-League stats, but he has talent.
You're bugging breh. He wouldn't see the floor playing for the Cavs. He'd be there to help with their dap routines and bring donuts to the vets during training camp.

he was the 28th pick for a reason. you can't be the most disappointing prospect if you were drafted that low.
I thought it was because he was injured, not his work eithic.

I was a little upset that Miami didn't take him seeing how we took chances on so many vets that were pass their prime.

How is this dude not in the NBA? Why exactly couldn't he put it together, he had everything you'd want from a prospect -

6'11"
7'2" wingspan
39" vertical

Solid skillset to build on for someone his size, extremely fluid athlete for someone who was just a hair under 7 feet tall. He showed flashes of his game when KD was hurt -

@Loose Did this dude just not have a work ethic like at all? He's currently in the developmental league, you would think someone like the Nets, Rockets or Lakers would have taken a flyer on him but nope. He did have some troubling signs in HS, like the fact he didn't even average double digits in PPG :dead: but still you would think someone would help him focus and put all the pieces together.

I remember on draft night we was like :merchant: when he fell to the Heat, and then everyone was like :wtf: when they passed, and then everyone was like :wow: when the Thunder got him. Now, he's out the league and trying to work his way back, shyt doesn't make sense, he's like the Jonathan Bender for this era.

At least Bender has serious knee issues as a reason he didn't have the career he should have. Perry, and I rarely like to say this about players, really seems to lack the heart and attitude to be a solid player. From an athletic and skillset perspective there's no reason why he shouldn't at least be easily a solid rotation guy, but with his gifts he should be much more.

It's hard to talk about how he he didn't produce in high school, because he was never the featured guy at duncanville. He was primarily used as a pf center that stayed in the paint on both ends and got limited touches. I didn't even know he had the perimeter skills that he did until his youtube mixtapes start coming out. I thought it was a case of mismanaged talent at the high school and college level (Scott Drew still some shyt though) and that ass long as the team that drafted him didn't force him to stay in the paint he would blossom in the league. Hell, I felt so strongly about it that I drafted him in our mock draft on here. Clearly I was way off. While he may have had some coaches that underutilized his tools, this nikka seems to be his own biggest obstacle. Ability of a tiger with the heat of a p*ssycat :martin:

Someone is going to take a flyer on Perry Jones someday, especially when the NBA gets a true development system where they can spend money on affiliate players without it effecting their salary cap. It might happen sooner than you think.

Jeff Green
Michael Beasley
Tyreke Evans
Derick Williams
OJ Mayo
Harrison Barnes (Yes, he is a bust at that spot given his production)

I don't know if he's a bust. He's a starter and that's the baseline for somebody who's drafted at #8. Someone is going to convince themselves to throw a max at him this summer. He will be a long time NBA player.

Guys like Patrick O'Bryant, Muhammad Sene and Terrence Williams who were lottery picks are busts. Those guys had clear talent but were too lazy or stubborn to follow rules and never got a second long term deal.

Quincy Miller seems to have revived his career as a small ball 4 in Europe. It's the right move for him, he's way too slow to defend most 3s.

He skinny but i wouldnt mind seein a player like him next to Vucevic
