so now youre resorting to lying again, in hopes of rallying the troops.

i already told you numerous times in numerous threads that i dont view any of them as being relevant currently.

nor do i have a horse in this race. i dont even like KRS.

you dudes is just delusional dikkriders.

so digital underground dropped too late for you to consider them pioneers, but e-40 who didn't get a national platform until YEARS after digital underground, is considered a pioneer tho right?

and like I said, you don't have to be an early flag-bearer to be considered a pioneer if you help take the scene to new heights. digital underground did that and reached audiences that shunned hammer & too short.

what did e-40 do again???
I asked you who was relevant longer than 40 and you said KRS One and Rakim bytch. Then you edited the post. Since you want to go to the name calling and disrespect I'll match your energy.

Son, cut the dusty shyt out ... Rakim and KRS are legends but ain’t no one 35 years old and younger .. shyt I’ll even raise you to 40 and younger is listening to a KRS/Rakim/Kool Moe Dee before Pun/Jay/Nas/Biggie :russ: .. I honestly can’t listen to that 80s shyt outside of KRS/Rakim and even then I’d rather listen to Nas/Jay because they are better to me:yeshrug:
:dwillhuh:
So what. I’m 39 and I prefer 90s to 80s but I’ll take late 80s over 2000s.

Nah nah nah that disregard history shyt is not true, nikkas listen to Nas/Jay/NWA/ATCQ but not Rakim/KRS :mjlol:

My point is nikkas came in the rap game, and outdid what both them nikkas did on technical level :yeshrug: .. If people want to listen to spitters there are better spitters than both:francis:. No one will ever out do the ATCQ/De La Soul line that’s why more people listen to they shyt nowadays. No one is going to tell stories like Slick Rick/Scarface but why would I listen to KRS/Rakim/Kool G Rap when I got modernized better versions of it
Nobody has surpassed Rakim.
Who are the modernized better versions of KRS, Rakim and G rap?

Same to you bytch. Either it's going to be respect or it's going to be the opposite. I'll follow your lead on this.

13 million views in 9 days :ehh:not bad for a 52 year old irrelevant rapper

Song is awful. And the young kid who sings the "mmm hmm mmm" song is the draw. All this current music is so indefensibly terrible that I'd argue being "relevant" amongst it is actually a knock on one's artistry.

Billy Ray Cyrus is more relevant than Neil Young.

Yet every rapper wants to be relevant but you can't name one that's been able to do it since 86 while dropping music every year since 1986. If it was easy 40 wouldn't be the only one doing it. Look at how hard it is for Master P to try to get it back popping and he had waaay more resources than 40 and couldn't do it.

Don't tell me they have too much integrity because KRS and Rakim both sold out for a check before.

What's the last hit Rakim or KRS had? last major festival they performed? last major award show they performed at? most famous guest appearance? interviews? Breakfast Club, Hot 97? Business endeavors?

I like both of them guys, but lets be real. its not even close.

You don't understand how the music industry works. That's 1 of the issues...

I'm not gonna spend much time on people on here as they're lost and hopeless, a lot of better places to discuss Hip Hop, even online, however quickly...

https://www.thecoli.com/threads/krs-one-performance-footage-discussion.222351/page-4

This was a thread I made previously, the latter pages show videos of him performing infront of different size audiences from 100's to 1000's. KRS-One can still demand good money for features or shows. Know people who have booked him. Last big interview, Drink Champs was big, he also had an interview with Nick Cannon on his show. Has songs with over 23 million views. He performs all over the world, here are just some of the recent ones (I'll post that at the end of this). He does the small clubs as well as bigger festivals. He gets over a million Spotify plays a month, that's just on 1 of singular streaming outlet. And you mentioned HOT97, they begged him to come on the show, he refused. Not long ago he was at the Yo MTV Rap Reunion Tour. This isn't to mention he does lectures, writes books, and production. KRS is doing very nicely, he's made and is making a good living off Hip Hop. = Relevance, irrelevant is when no-one cares or wants to book you or interview you or talks about you. KRS-One is LEGENDARY, a true living legend in music. That's all that needs to be said.
