If you already know about that then why the fukk are you claiming he dropped in 93/94?? You keep changing the narrative and adding qualifiers and dis-qualifiers to your points. It has become clear there is no reasoning or having a logical debate with you. Its yeah he went platinum but only in a weirdo market, its yeah hes on these tours but KRS and Rakim are too pure hip hop to be on those type of tours, they could if they wanted to though, its yeah KRS and Rakim are more relevant in 2019 but I didnt say they were more relevant currently...you just contradict and backpedal and juelz..its obvious ur just a Rasheed wallace type dude...

again, youre taking the thread backwards, and hoppin into side-convos without knowing whats going on.

and again, I used to like e-40, but because im not cosigning any delusional bullchit, im a "Rasheed Wallace type dude". once again, youre taking the thread backwards.

face it. ya man just didn't have it like that.

The first step is be a rapper outside of the 5 boroughs

not at all.

plenty of rappers who were way more relevant have come out of the bay.

stop trying to make this into something else.

How can you have a rabid fan base and not be relevant?

Rakim & Krs One are not jumping on songs with Migos you dope. Neither party would be interested in that union and the world is better off for it.

And E-40 hasn’t made a good album since Hall Of Game (which wasn’t as good as In A Major Way) despite whatever Hyphy movement he hopped on to briefly have a moment here and there.

And I really hope you aren’t saying 40 was relevant in 1986. The guy broke through with the Jive deal on The Mailman EP re-release and even then during west coast sales dominance was a Gold seller for a few albums.

Ra & Krs are rap behemoths. E 40 is the fat guy in sparkly clothes at Warriors games who makes up words for a living.
I'll get you to clarify for me, just so I'm sure I'm following, so E-40 has a platinum album and multiple gold albums, KRS struggled to go gold once, KRS was also a jive artist when 40 was. 40 has multiple singles either as a lead or feature that have sold gold, platinum or multi platinum, KRS does not. But KRS is the rap behemoth?

If you don’t understand the importance of KRS and Rakim why would your opinion even matter?

/thread.

We're supposed to take the hip-hop opinions of people who don't know the legacy and importance of arguably the two greatest rappers to ever exist seriously? :heh:

90s rappers looked up to 80s rappers
00s rappers looked up to 90s rappers
10s rappers looked up to 00s and early 10s rappers.

Y'all so in your feeling about the shyt that nikkas can't even be real.

I know E-40 is well respected and gets mad love in the Bay but to compare him to RA and KRS is ludicrous. There is NO ONE more relevant in hip hops history than KRS and Rakim. These two took the game to another level. Your favorite rappers favorite rappers.

this is one of the few cases I seen on this site. A poster tries to explain his asinine opinion, and sounds even dumber on the explanation/2nd post :ehh:
You will never see KRS or Rakim do a Tell Me When to Go.

Nothing sadder to me than seeing these old rappers trying to fit in with current trends in hopes to stay relevant.

KRS ONE or Rakim will always rep hip-hop in it's purist form. That's why I call them ambassadors.

Just off skill factor alone e40 is not anywhere near Rakim. I don’t listen to KRS-One. I never liked e40s shyt. Rakim hasn’t made anything for over ten years so how can he be relevant? All I know is if ur having a discussion about legends e40 wouldn’t be mentioned near Rakim.

Name a e40 song better then this...

"In it's purest form" is some opinionated shyt that doesn't even exist. That's the problem with all of you. You guys think your opinion is facts.

so a artist adapting to the times is what you hate? not doing so is keeping it pure to you?
