No. White kids consume rap music just as we do. However many of our kids dont have the role models in place to help them understand that these rappers are just actors essentially. The main problem here is that blacks in the media (not just in the rap industry) are portrayed as all being criminals, dumb and violent and due to the prejudice and racism in our many institutions (legal, criminal, financial, education, etc.) we are at a significant disadvantage which puts many of us in the downward spiral we have been in for years. As a result many of our kids truly think their only out is to sell drugs or be a rapper or athelete.

Really tho it has nothing to do with rap. Thats really simply another media outlet that portrays us negatively.
