Ross wasn't outshined he more than held his own renegaded Hov on FWMYKIGI, had one of the greatest verses of the 2010's destroying Kanye on Devil In A New Dress. Held his own next to Meek, Nas, Andre 3000, Drake, etc.

Ross can spit, the man improved tremendously around the time Deeper Than Rap dropped. He has legit classic songs under his belt.

"Mastermind" was dope to me. "Hood Billionaire" was a street album/mixtape. He said that repeatedly. Still had some hot songs on it. The only thing I didn't like about it was the talking. It messes up the ability to shuffle.

I don't think his run is over, he just needs time to retool. He hasn't reinvented himself, so he's getting too predictable. Still makes decent albums, but since his previous albums have the same types of songs but just done better, the new ones aren' going to get as much love. I give him credit for putting MMG on his back last year by dropping two albums though - if Meek wasn't locked up he wouldn't have had to, and he may have had more time to think of a new approach
