Last 8 games: 5.6 points per game on 30% shooting while averaging 31.2 minutes.

Can anyone please explain how that is even possible for somebody that handles the ball as much as Rondo does?

The problem with people is that they bought into the media hyping this dude up to be an all-time great.

The fact is that Rondo is a good player, but not an elite player. He never was...he gets his assists because he handles the ball so much and has always had great teammates to inflate those assist numbers. This season? He is still getting his assists, but is averaging 8.2 points per game...this is supposed to be an elite PG in the NBA? You notice how his assists per game inflated once KG, Pierce, and Allen went to Boston? This is no coincidence. I've watched this cat play since he was here @ Kentucky...he is a good player. Wasn't even able to lead a Kentucky squad to a final four appearance...he is surely not going to lead a great NBA team. He will need to play with a star or two to maximize his impact. He is in no way a legit 1st option on ANY team.

Dude is shooting 32% from the foul line...thats RIDICULOUS.

Look If John Wall decided to be a strictly pass first PG he would avg 13-14 assist a game, but since he is such a huge threat on offense he avg around 20/9.

Rondo avg 10/12 isnt better than wall's 20/9. Nobody respects rondo game offensive game, nobody is worried bout him pulling up for a jump shot or blowing by someone. nikka is just a coach on a the floor looking for assist.

Problem is that Rondo is only averaging 8 PPG this season. Look what has happened to his FG % since the Boston team was taken apart...40% last season and now down to UNDER 40% this season.

You conveniently ignore the fact that his 2013-14 season (his first without any of the Big 3) he was out injured for 52 games. He came back in the final 30 games of the season and clearly wasn't 100%. Yet, in the final month of that season (April), he averaged 13pts/12asts/8rebs/2stls on 51% shooting.


You also conveniently ignore the fact that Rondo injured his hand right before the beginning of this season (and was expected to miss around 4-6 weeks). Fortunately, he hasn't missed any time. But that hand injury has plenty to do with his shooting woes thus far. Nonetheless, he's still leading the league in assists and triple doubles. He's also the best rebounding PG in the game, bar none.


EVERYBODY concedes that Rondo is not a natural scorer. Yet, you keep harping on his less than stellar FG%, FT% and lack of scoring. You keep beating this dead horse. Boring.


Face it, Rondo is an ELITE PG. When fully healthy, there are maybe only 2 PGs I'd choose over him. But he's definitely a top 3 PG. I really don't know why you guys have a hard-on to knock Rondo. The fact that y'all have compared him to Brevin Knight and Troy Bell destroys your credibility. For whatever reason, y'all can't fathom that a player who is limited offensively is still among the best players in the league and certainly top 3 in his position, especially when fully healthy.

Rondo is the player closest to Jason Kidd in today's league and the scary thing is that Rondo hasn't been 100% healthy for the better part of the past 2 years. There's a reason why SO MANY teams are doing their damn best to put together a trade package to get Rondo. Surround Rondo with talent and the team will become an instant contender.


And remember, he's already got what Westbrook, Paul, Wall, Curry, and Rose are still trying to get....

exactly..you are just making my point...you posted 3 games over a 3 year period...gladly post his triple doubles? nikka you act like rondo is grabbing the hardest boards when he gets those. nikka is getting the basic ball fall into my hand rebounds...and his triple doubles are almost always around 10-14 points....Like thats suppose to be hard for someone playing 36mins

Rondo is not a top player or a max player. He is a good pass first point guard. Thats it. They start smart over him in the stretch for defense. Rondo is terrible at that. Being a pass first guard doesn't translate into wins my nikka.
