Is Rondo really 'Magic' Johnson, or has it always been an illusion?

Will Rondo be exposed as a role player this season?

Rondo averaged 16.9 ,9.8, 9.6 in the 08-09 playoffs:wow:

Find me a PG today that has done that, matter fact find me 5 PG's ALL TIME that has done that, not for a SERIES,the ENTIRE playoffs and at least playing 10 playoff games:usure:

You cant knock a player that is elite in so many categories, but just because he cant score the ball at a high level he sucks :russ:

Get all the way the fukk outta here:camby:

These would be the same people who would've claimed that J Kidd in his prime was not an elite PG because he didn't score lots of points and wasn't a great shooter (until much later in his career).

Interesting enough, if Rondo played for the OKC Thunder, Lakers, or Knicks, they'd swear dude's the best PG in the league.

The OP and most posters in here are deluding themselves with mental gymnastics.

All they do is keep saying his scoring sucks and downplaying everything good he does, that's why I tend not to argue, I say my peace and let them talk to themselves,I could throw numbers at em all day but they will harp on the same thing.

Rondo has a ring tho:wow: thats all that matters breh

Because obviously last season where he lead his team to a 6-24 record, where he handled the ball 22.6% of the time he was on the floor (more than every single other player in the league), with a 98.2 offensive rating (which would have ranked him #362 in the league) while only scoring 11.7 PPG on 40.3% shooting (only 34% on selective minimal jumpshots) and only averaging 0.5 points on 19.2% shooting during the 'clutch' period (which would have ranked him #269 in the league) - wasn't enough for Rondo stans and believers alike to end their indoctrinated state of taking part in this Jonestown-like thought reform. Using their own hermeneutics of how great of a leader he is - all the while casting aside the fact he regularly deferred to the likes of Kris Humphries and Chris Johnson late in games - failing to acknowledge that the Celtics organization's sleight of hand only made him seem like 'one of the best PGs/players' in the league, when those three HOFs were the ones pulling the strings all along.

This is the season everything comes into picture. :mjpls:
This thread gonna end your career here

I look forward to upping this thread at the end of the season. :mjpls:
