Shaq couldn't be stopped. Hack-a-shaq wasn't that effective but the Jordan rules were. Besides, the NBA let MJ get away with murder throughout the 90's and he got credit too much for some of the things Pippen did for Chicago.
Ya'll boys love talking this MJ is the greatest and I don't see it. I watched the games. I watched all of them. Have all MJ's highlights and of course, he entertain me more than any other NBA player but he's not the greatest. There isn't one and if it was, it would be Wilt, Bill, Kareem, or Tim Duncan.
I'll give you Kareem as possible GOAT but you lost me with wilt, bill and Duncan. and Jordan rules were effective only because the bulls we're still developing as a team. Once the triangle was fully implemented it was over. They couldn't stop Jordan at all they only tried to contain him. He still put up superb numbers.
And Jordan averaged in 1988 against the pistons
Series: 27.4 ppg, 8.8 rpg, and 4.6 apg on 49.1 %FG/54.9 %TS with 3.6 topg in 42.0 mpg
And averaged in 1989 against the pistons
Series: 29.7 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 6.5 apg on 46.0 %FG/56.1 %TS with 3.7 topg in 43.2 mpg
And in 1990 against pistons
Series: 32.1 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 6.3 apg on 46.7 %FG/56.6 %TS with 2.9 topg in 42.3 mpg
In 1991 against pistons
He avg 29.8 ppg 5.3 rpg 7.0 apg on 53%fg
