Is Silkk The Shocker the most trash rapper that was remotely successful?

Let’s be real, they cannot string a sentence together and have the vocab of a 10 year old. Without Zaytoven, theses guys would be on Soulja Boys level.

in fact there you go ‘Souljaboy’

Sillk had no rhythm, but I mean he could at least communicate.

Delivery wise its arguable, he sounded like someone who just started rapping a week ago his whole career.

Material wise tho nah, Silkk actually was pretty decent in terms of writing raps and the technicalities of it and shyt...especially on his later shyt

This is spot the fukk on. Silkk was competent lyricist, and he some dope content (all of them did tbh) but his delivery was fukking WEAK. nikka didnt have that good of a rapping voice, make it even worse out of all the Miller brothers he looked the softest, by far. So it made his delivery seem even WEAKER...

But this shyt here?

Richmond Silkk was okay
Once they signed Mystikal, he pretty much regressed, trying to bite his style , in true Miller fashion

LOL ironically enough, Richmond P is the fukking WORST. At least BBTP era P bit one person (Pac), Richmond P was trying to sound like C-Bo, Scarface, Spice 1, and a few others. Sometimes all in 1 verse.

I just listened to Charge It To The Game after over 15 years. The shyt isn't that bad. Silkk had a unique delivery which is rare these days maybe thats why I appreciated the album more :yeshrug:
The Shocker isn't bad, either. I agree, he might have been off-beat with no rhythm but at least he was unique.

I cut one rap song in my life that I let other people hear and I remember people saying it wasn't bad and that I kind of reminded them of Silkk the Shocker...which at the time I didn't realize was probably a bad thing!

As a kid, I only bought 2 albums that ended up being so wack, I returned them to the store.

One of them was Silkk's Made Men album. I listened to it and was so mad I spent my money on it, I took that sh*t back to The Wiz the next day and said the disc "wasn't working". I didn't even want to see it in the house anymore.
