Dawg, ESPN has to run with that narrative....otherwise they would look like fools for how they over-saturated us with the Golden State coverage for the entire season.

Make no mistake....what they accomplished as a team this season was great, and Steph had a phenomenal year, but ESPN went WAY over the top with it.

So now they're just trying to cover their asses.

Espn.com had a special curry tab just for news about him.

I don't even think during the height of Lebron's heat championships that they did this. I thought it went wayyy overboard.

Nobody is 100% in the playoffs. When people brought up injuries against the teams they played last year they were offended that was even brought up. I don't care about who would have or don't have championships. Damn near all season it was a pre gone conclusion that they were gonna win the title again. I brought up MJ, Lebron, Kobe, because they know how hard it is to win titles back to back. You don't win a championship because ESPN sings your praises

I would agree with that. Most people are dealing with things at this point in the season. Just saying that Curry actually having to miss a handful of games because of an injury suffered in the middle of the playoffs gives reason to believe he's significantly hampered by something. Responses would probably be different if he never slipped & did a split on the court or never had that non contact ankle injury.

I don't think Curry or Warriors thought they would cruise to another championship. Yeah its hard, yeah they have to play better or else they'll get bounced soon.

I don't wanna hear this shyt at all....The excuses Kerr and a lot of the media even trying to put that in people's head is the weakest shyt ever. I turn on Sportscenter & Mike Wilbon and he basically eluded this by saying Steph isn't playing like himself. How about they finally playing a team that isn't hurt and isn't soft enough to let them shoot 3s all over the court and do their Globetrotter passes?

If it was the other way around & Warriors was up 3-1 and Curry was dropping 30+ while Durant and/or Westbrook were playing bad as they are there wouldn't be any questions about "what's wrong with them?" They would be killing Westbrook and telling Durant to jump on the first thing outta OKC.

The media tried to make Curry the NBA darling but it was premature
He's a good player and a great shooter but that's where it stops. It's OK to be Dirk or Billups, everybody can't be Kobe, Shaq, LeBron, Wade, MJ

The excuses have to stop though....OKC is the better team and outplaying them.

however i dont see the difference between how he is playing now and how della did him last year....aside, OKC is heathier than CAVS was so they are doing it better.

They eliminated that excuse when they were praising him for his game 2 performance and didn't mention his injury at all.

He's overrated as in being the best player in the league and stop it with the one superstar vs two shyt...people were saying Draymond was a top 10 player in the league. Klay is probably their best player, at least he plays good 1 on 1 defense.

No he's not overrated. No one called him the best player in the league except bi-polar fair weather basketball fans. A healthy Steph Curry is a top 5 basketball player; it's not debate-able. The Warriors against OKC is one superstar versus two.

No one thinks Draymond Green is a top 10 player in the NBA expect Warrior fans. Green wouldn't even be a starter on half of the teams in the NBA.

I don't think Curry is overrated. It's actually scary to think how much better he would be if he hadn't battled injuries half of his career. I think it's his teammates that are overrated, not Curry himself. Contrary to popular belief, he is the only superstar on that team.

The problem is they are going up against a team with two MVP caliber players on it. Hell, you could even argue two top 5 players. It's essentially one superstar versus two.

Breh Klay fukkin CARRIED the Warriors yesterday.

Dude dropped 19 straight points in the 3rd to keep the game close and was looking unstoppable at one point.
He's the ONLY one that came to play on the Dubs.

HE's the one that had no help from Steph.

Marc Spears also said the same thing after Game 1. I'd imagine 99% of this board has never experienced a sprained MCL, let alone trying to actually play ball on one after a few weeks.
