Is Steph Curry on his way to passing up Zeke & Stockton & being the 2nd best PG after Magic?

Look at their height. You can't have them playing 2 guard (russy the exception) they would get ate up on defense.

Imagine curry trying to guard wade, harden, kobe, etc... They play like SG's, but their heights make them PGs
Rose brings up the ball, calls/relays playcalls to his team and gets the Bulls into nearly every set the run offensively while being their primary playmaker

Hes a PG man

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Rose was our PG, but he's a SG as well. His game is more of a SG.

Rose has played PG at every level of basketball throughout his entire life :dead:

By your narrow definition, Kevin Johnson, Gary Payton, Tim Hardaway and many more were not PGs, they were SGs.

We don't have anyone else that can do that for our team. My point boils down style of play. Rose, Russy, etc.. can play PG. Watching them play they're shoot 1st players. To me a PG is someone like magic, or stock or kidd who look for their scoring secondarily. On the bulls rose has no choice in years past because he was our best offensive option. Look at wall in DC, he's a true PG. Dude is averaging 12 dimes a game.

Talking about Magic though... I always ranked him just below Jordan in terms of non-bigs. To be fair, Lebron has taken that #2 spot at this point. But what we've seen the last 15 years (or more) with superteams imploding or not performing to expectations should be a testament to how great magic was. Magic had stacked teams when he was winning. But the ability to keep alot of elite level players happy is a rare skill. The Rockets when they had charles barkeley. THe Lakers in 2004 and 2012. The Heat in 2011. They all had talent, but no unifying force behind them.

Magic's skill allowed him to keep alot of very talented players functioning together. It is not widely recognized but assembling a superteam in the nba doesn't mean shyt necessarily.

Those guys were better at getting their own shots then setting up their teammates. Maybe i shouldn't look at their mentality but the reality is those guys were shoot 1st. There have been plenty of undersized talent playing PG.

What would you consider Iverson?

You really want to see Russ & Rose off the ball with a traditional PG handling the ball ? :heh:

They are shoot first PG's, that is a thing. Your definition of a PG is archaic

Iverson was drafted to be a PG, but ended up playing SG, hence Eric Snow being listed as their PG.

You can't have it both ways, you can't say Curry, Rose and Westbrook are SGs, then turn around and cop pleas that KJ, GP and Tim were PGs.

Maybe that's the issue then. Maybe i should accept these new nikkas then. My definition of PG to me is someone who's getting his teammates involved 1st and himself involved last.

If rose, russy, curry were all 6'5-6'6, would they be playing PG?

If those guys were 6'6" their games would be tailored completely differently

thats simplifying it way too much

10 years? I was saying it about him 2 years ago :russ:

I hate his game, if he decided he wanted to score more and focus less on running every aspect of the team's offense they'd probably win.

Be a "Juggalo" brehs.

I give a fukk about pass first PGs, they are dinosaurs.
