And it's still only his 4th best album imo (behind illmatic, iww, lost tapes) - and that's why Nas is GOAT, his best 3 (or 4) albums are better than anyone else's best 3 imo.

only other artist that can be argued is pac and kast

pac

MATW
AEOM
7day

Kast
southerplaya
atliens
aquemini
stankonia

Nas
illmatic
iww
stillmatic
lost tapes

so many classic top 5/10 albums in hip-hop history between these 3 :ohlawd:

personally

these 3 artist each have a album in my top 5 albums all time and each can be argued as havin the GOAT album in hip-hop history -(illmatic,aquemini,7day)

I don't consider any of those Pac albums 5/5 personally - those are all 4.5s or so to me. Way too many shytty guest artists imo, and 2 or so tracks I don't like on each. But yea Outkast is definitely very close with their first 3-4 albums.

considering the fact that nas' back was firmly pressed against the wall, biggest rap star in the game coming for his neck, 90% of hip hop counted him out and then he comes and drops an incredible album like this - probably in the top 5 greatest comebacks in hip hop history, so YES.
but while i see illmatic as a bonafide any genre of music classic, stillmatic is a hip hop classic! i don't know if that makes sense!!

Definitely a classic. A lot of people have memories of 2001, the towers fell, the city was divided between Jay and Nas. They both dropped classics in Stillmatic and The Blueprint. It's Nas' comeback album after the dud that was Nastradamus, and features classic tracks he addressed Jay, Prodigy, Nature, Cormega on arguably the G.O.A.T. diss Ether and Destroy & Rebuild. Classic opening track in Stillmatic Intro, Nas displayed his creativity and storytelling ability rapping Rewind backwards, then you got tracks like 2nd Childhood, classic Nas/AZ collab in The Flyest, Nas pouring his heart out in One Mic.
