Naw that shyt ain't selfish. Nobody knows what's on somebody else's mind. If somebody kills themselves, in their mind they must have had a good reason to. Don't judge somebody if you don't know shyt about what they go through

A friend of mine killed himself 2 weeks ago. Dude had been missing for two days. shyt was all over the news in Richmond. Turns out dude killed himself and died alone in a cornfield somewhere in the outskirts of Goochland. I felt real bad about him killing himself, just bc we had had a convo about mental illness before. He had tried to convince me to go to AA because he had been going there and thought it would help with my social drinking.

The fukked up thing about it is my friend had two small children who were both under 3. One was only 4 months old! Everyone was speculating that he killed himself (news didnt say how he died after they announced that they found him), so his wife released a statement saying that his family was thankful for all the condolences and that what breh did wasnt a selfish act

Brehs im super supportive of peiple with mental illness and im compassionate about suicidal deaths, but how in the fukk is my friend killing himself to leave his new born and toddler alone without a father (along with his wife) not selfish? While clinical major depression is a disease that has to be taken seriously, i can't find it in my heart to say that what he did wasn't selfish. I feel sorry for him and his condition and that he suffered greatly, but i couldnt ever kill myself right after having a baby and having another son thats 2.

What yall think?

I think it's absolutely selfish. He took the responsibility of raising some kids and then abandoned not to mention the trauma of them having to deal with their father taking his own life.

I feel sympathy and I'm upset all at the same time.

It's definitely selfish. The only way I could remotely understand it is if you're dying in bed for months and just waiting to die.

My friends grandfather was diagnosed with incurable brain cancer and he killed himself.

Yeah I've been really down before, but I could NEVER imagine doing that to my mom. The pain that would cause her would burn my soul in the after life.

It's the unforgivable sin, and I believe if you do that, you are gonna be sent right back down here to do your time. God has you on a clock, and if you clock out before its your time, it's right back to this miserable existence.
