American marketing is. It's much easier to get past the packaging now, it's much easier to access information and people, in order to evaluate the product. Especially for Americans themselves. It's much easier now to know how you're being lied to, and much harder to deny.

So much so that there's an entire segment of the internet dedicated to shoring up that denial, trying keep the entire scheme going as long as possible.

The American Dream is dead. We are in a new Gilded Age. Things aren't going to get better, but worse economically for the poorest 80% of Americans. We won't see any real change until people like Doctors and Lawyers realize they are economically closer to people living in tent cities than the 1%.

For many mainstream true middle America CACs, it’s finally “over” because true industries (steel, manufacturing) are gone and ain’t coming back
Let’s not act like these same “cac” jobs you are talking about didn’t hold down the black family for decades. Manufacturing, trades, government jobs were the backbones for black families back in the day

If the American Dream is home ownership and you don't own one already then yes
Not necessarily. You just may have to move further away to get the home you’re comfortable with. Most people, for social reasons, have an issue moving too far away from their friends and family, which I understand. However, if you want to give yourself a better chance of being able to get out the rat race, you might want to consider a move. An hour or even 2 or 3 hours away from everyone isn’t really all that bad.
