I feel like this version of the Lions has peaked. They had their chance 2 years ago but blew it against the 49ers. Maybe I'm wrong though :patrice: how do y'all feel?

So. Cal
was closed after they had nothing but dome games all way to the SB last year and got whipped by the Commanders.

It closed when they decided that Goof was the QB to win them a ring :mjlol:

They deserve this shyt after their flukey 2 years of winning and thinking they were some top flight franchise who was gonna dog walk the NFCN and NFC in general.

nah nikkas, yall are still the same old Lions. Put them paper bags back on :umad:

Lions best coach in its entire history left to go to coach the Bears and Lions wasn't going fire their best head coach since the 1950s.

This is the reality of a CEO situation. Ben Johnson was a generational playcaller, and Lions was in a situation that they had to show loyalty to the coach that got them there.

Campbell got to find top echelon play caller/coordinator. Sheppard looks phenomenal. Morton ain't it.

CEO model just isn't sustainable

Jared Goff is 31
Jahymr Gibbs is 23
Amon-Ra St. Brown is 26
Jameson Williams is 24
Sam LaPorta is 24
Isaac TeSlaa is 23
Aidan Hutchinson is 25
Jack Campbell is 25

The only way I see this team's window being closed is if you have zero confidence in the coaching staff.

The talent is still there, though Detroit probably could use more depth in the secondary. They lost Terrion Arnold (2024's 1st round pick) to injury a few weeks ago and Ennis Rackestraw (2024's 2nd round pick) got hurt last year, and missed this entire 2025 season due to shoulder injury.

I will say that maybe there's real concern about Jared Goff. Not so much because of age, but rather the mileage. He's already 10 years in the league and he's out there chucking the football a lot. Detroit probably should start grooming his successor sooner rather than later.

Lions are in last place in the division :picard:

Campbell needs to replace Johnson quickly. He’s not a play caller.

They gotta find Ragnow’s successor or beg him to unretire
