i have a question why is it when you ask a native amaerican something some of them get on the offensive for no reason at all?
i was having a convo about the Hopi Prophecies (where they are indeed a prophecy or somethings that is merely a hoax) on a Native American website ( Powwows.com where else would be a good place to hold a convo as such?) anyway the thread became a shouting match and this forum member actually had to get 3 other people to co-sign "that blacks/white should leave our teachings alone
no diss to anyone native in here but i find some native american to come across racist as fukk, no sooner i ask my question i was hit with the twinkie insult

What do you mean no reason at all? They don't want their culture modified and misappropriated because an outsider has developed a temporary curiosity about it.
I have a friend who refuses to teach West African dance/drumming to non-black people, especially at a time when it became really popular for white women to get into. That's not racist, she doesn't want outsiders to make such a sacred part of her culture be just another fitness trend or corporate team building activity.

Nothing wrong with educating yourself with intellectual property that is already out there. But if you are curious and just want to consume parts of the culture as you see fit and they aren't comfortable with that, you should respect it.
There are far too many privileged people who wear other cultures as trends, but offer no advocacy, community assistance, or genuine respect in return.

exactly. now they aint LIVING GOOD per se as a whole. some of that has to do with corruption at the top within the tribe not allowing the money to trickle down.
but they were already at home when they got invaded.
they were given pieces of land that no one else can own but them. and as stated above they have all kinds of funds setup for them.
africans got snatched away from home. they dont know their history because of this. natives know their history.this has a huge effect on self esteem.
africans has never received their 40acres and a mule.
all we can get is a little affirmative action to get into college. for the most part those little funds are not for us. and at the end of the day who are cacs thinking about the most? natives or blacks? blacks in a negative manner.

Native Americans have to climb up and out of reservations. African Americans have to climb up and out of projects/poor neighborhoods.
No, it's not like that. Where they have a casino, the one cat who owns that casino is living large. The one cat and his golddigger/trophy wife. People do get jobs but nothing where they are living large. Not a lot trickles down.
