Is The Rock an A-list actor?

Will Smith won't be getting any Oscar nods NO TIME soon but he's A List because he puts some shyt out every July that makes money because of the same lemmings falling for his schtick.

Will Smith is a better actor and more bankable than the Rock though. He already has 2 Oscar nods and has carried many movies AND franchises as the single star. Don't try to shyt on someone legit just to prop your favorite up.

he's pretty much going to be stuck doing the same tough guy roles just based off how he looks ...i doubt he has a problem with it. But his range is comedy and action. I mean he wouldn't be credible doing a role in say the departed or playing a blind guy like pacino did in scent of a woman...but one day he will try something that challenged him like Vin Diesel did with find me guilty almost a decade ago

I think he has it in him, he just has to find that role to bring it out of him. Don't know if it will be anytime soon, but I hope he does try it one day. I think wrestling prepared him well for a variety of roles.

Bankable? Besides Dark Knight Rises, what franchise is she carrying or moving numbers in? LOL. She's Oscar nominated. Legit. Complete. But she's not making summer blockbuster money or dropping 5 flicks in one year or doing Superbowl commercials...nothing like that.

The Rock made Journey 2 successful and Race To Witch Mountain a international success. Get real.

Ali, Seven Pounds and Pursuit of Happyness showed more range than your boy. shytting on someone better than the nikka you're trying to defend is laughable when you know Snitch and the like ain't even getting a BET award Mediocre or not, his box office grosses shyt on your boy's (since that is your usual measure of success)

I know I don't know why people don't get they family comedies and romcoms generally aren't what turn people to the a-list . The rock has some hits but none where people would say he's a-list. Not movie a-list anyway since people confuse a-listers social figures like Kim kardashian who get invited to all the parties ,with movie a-list which has MORE to do with being able to get movies produced.
The Rock just isn't a-list yet hell Sam worthington got top billing in avatar but James Cameron was the attraction there . Worthington has sold way more tickers than the rock yet notice he isn't considered a-list

I like Anne Hathaway but she's not a bigger star the Rock. She got that nomination but she's not bigger box office than him. Pitt usually is but he doesn't drop bigger movies than the Rock these days and neither does Jolie.

And Clooney isn't A List...he gets nominated for a few things, which is very questionable because of his big shot Hollywood friends but he doesn't carry movies or has stand out performances on his own at all on a consistent basis. Never have. That Ocean Stuff wasn't about him..it was the cast.
