Is the slang nowadays corny or am I just getting old?

Cap aint new at all, its old as fukk and means the same thing now as it did then, YOU GOOD
Cap. :beli:

Doesn’t really matter how old or the origins. What matters is it became mainstream for thr youth recently and that means it’s dead.

Cap is from "cappin", which is Chicago slang.

"It's giving"...is just short for "It's giving [xyz] vibes"...they just shortened it to "it's giving".

It's already been mentioned here, but calling women bro is just crazy.
Cap for sure was in Atlanta in as early as 2001.

Not really slang but it's trendy I guess. But I'm in this Kevin Samuels group on Facebook & damn near everybody in there abbreviates race & gender when speaking on people. Like instead of saying "black man" or "black woman" they say BM/BW like they on Twitter & got limited characters or typing it out is against community standards. I don't know why but it erks my nerves.

Is there anyone here that has ever uttered the words "it's lit" or "type of time" in person? :patrice:
Yes but Philly BEEN saying type of time since the 2000s. We also created “in my bag” too :sas2:

Philly deserves much more credit for our slang.
