Is the Spence/Crawford fight the most significant Welterweight matchup since Leonard/Hearns?

Is it the biggest fight at 147 in 30 years?

Lol @ anybody saying this fight is bigger than Tito vs Oscar
This shyt is gonna struggle to hit like 400-500k if the promoters are lucky
You'd also need to ignore a bunch of Floyd & Pac fights and of course when they fought each other

Undisputed title is cool on paper and for the hardcores but that doesn't it make it more significant. Gonna tell me Mayorga vs. Spinks has more significance than Tito vs Oscar cause it had more belts on the line next?

hell no, surprised so many people voted yes. can't even say thinking so is a casual take cause i doubt the average person would put this top five in terms of overall hype or (projected) sells
this being the biggest fight of this era is an indictment of WW over the last 6 yrs (since Floyd retired)

Casuals keep the lights on so i’d argue what they see big is what matters

yup, that's why i referenced hype and sells. personally this is the 2nd biggest WW fight to me but i've never argue that was the consensus or anything like that. people who want to rate it high cause of the unification cool i guess but they the minority probably

I think this fight is big cause there is a good balance of hardcore and casual excitement.
Like it checks off both sides, which is why this fight doesnt even need crazy build up cause its already marinated.

Tank vs Ryan is another fight that can be announced a month out and still sell because of the balance of checking off boxes for casuals and hardcore.

Floyd pac was a all time generation defining fight and both were legit champs at the weight class. This is silly.
