Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Saw my friend over the weekend that's an independent personal trainer, he calls what he does a hobby and said he can never work a "real job" ever again. This is a dude that charges $130 an hour and makes around 100k a year, when you break that down it comes out to around 800 total work hours per year or 15 per week. His only complaint would be the irregular hours, some days he'll work at 7am and then wont have another session till 11pm, but even then a huge chunk of his day is free to do whatever he wants. I knew he made a good amount, I didn't know his work week was so open like that though or that he viewed it as a hobby, most of his client base is from word of mouth and he deals with professionals.

With 3/4 of the country being overweight or obese I can't really think of a better field to get into, especially if you're a former fat dude that can use your transformation pics as your resume. I may have to get ACE/NASM certified and train some people on the side :lupe: If you're in good shape and live in a fairly large city you should get certs brehs :leon:

One of my homies is chubby and stays taking fat girl angled pics in the gym on instagram and added everyone and their mom.

A year later he has a following, and personal trains and is making loot, its a great hustle to get into. Especially since everyone is working out so people are trying to "stand out" by claiming they have a personal trainer.

Its not a simple hustle because you yourself have to be a in great shape which requires a lot of hard work. Easier for those that enjoy it though, friend.

it's a great hustle. the trick is building the client base to the point where you can venture out on your own. most of the those guys have to suck the corporate teet of an nysc, equinox or crunch til they have a solid roster or solid enough for their existing customer base to refer them to enough people.

my trainer still keeps the bare minimum of his clientele at equinox just to meet his monthly quota, but everyone new he meets there he brings to the private gyms he trains at. i think it took him a few years til he could get to that point of comfort.

I think with instagram and the net in general you can cut out the middle man to be honest :lupe:

My former personal trainer makes majority of his money by training.

He bought a lil office space and turned it into his training space plus he lives out of there and showers at fitness connection. He gets his meals from wherever like ihop or some restaurants since he doesn't have a kitchen.

He's always out training people all over the city plus sessions at his gym. You could pay by the class($25 for an hour 30min) or pay monthly (starting at $165).

He gets 20 people per class at 3 classes a day he could make close to a stack in one day after expenses (his gas and food).

I really doubt they're making crazy money and if they are flabby and also a tad on the sick side, maybe they used to be great and are now sharing a history of knowledge. Fat and young personal trainers i believe are rare friend

if it was that easy everyone would be doing it. being a pt takes a lot of work, the shyt is not easy. you have to be organized, prompt, knowledgable, people skills, your routine has to show results, not to mention be in shape yourself (which is almost another job itself) and most likely you have to work under a gym at first
