Bonds, Ken Griffey, Mays, Hank Aaron.

It's amazing baseball is a Cac dominated sport but the GOATS of the game are black

But I will add Pete Rose has the most unbreakable record in the game. NOBODY is catching that hits record
Ichiro would have broke it if he had 6-7 more prime years in the MLB.

That Pete Rose record will be broken one day. It might just take another 12-15 years for us to see a contact hitter like Ichiro to start in their late teens to early 20s in the MLB.

it would be close...

Rose had 4,256
Ichiro has 3,030...1,226 behind Rose.

Over the course of 6 years, Ichiro would have to average 204 hits a year.
Not impossible, considering he averaged 224 hits per year in his first 10 years in Seattle (ages 27-36)

shyt. With how fast that guy was, 500 of those might have been infield hits.

At least 300 more drag bunts.

Pete Rose must be like :whew:

Bonds is better than Griffey even pre-juice. People forget Bonds also won Gold Gloves and was a much better base stealer than Griffey on top of being a better batter...

I think you still gotta go with Ruth even though he played against all cacs. What he means to the game culturally is just too much apart from having beastly pitching and hitting stats. Dude was an icon from movies to candy bars and the original flamboyant athlete.

The thing is...Bonds' comparable isn't Griffey. It's Mays.
Although if Griffey didn't suffer the injuries that he did, it's very, very possible that Griffey would have gone down as better than Bonds.

There was a short time in where people started questioning if griffey was on the juice because of all those injuries later on.

I don't buy it, but it was out there.

In Game of Shadows they said that Bonds discussed the juice thing with Griffey, because Bonds was pissed off at how the other guys in the league were on the stuff and getting all this money and recognition. And Griffey wanted no part of it.

I'd have to dig up the book in my room to read exactly what it said. And it may have been just rumors. But whether the story is real or not, I like to believe that Griffey was clean.

It's damn near impossible to do what Ichiro did/does. Especially since he came here so late and still dominated

Not the same.

Didn't say it was.

I'll take the guy who was already great before PEDs and competed against the best of all races in the modern era with advanced technology and scouting reports over the guy who only competed against people who share his complexion.
