Is there a scientific explanation for why time at work goes by so slow?

Yeah I saw a YouTube video about it. Something about more memory input. It's a physiological phenomenon everyone goes through so you so you're not alone.

It's why your lunch break feels like 10 minutes while you're just cruising through Instagram but the very next hour feels like 2.

It's because you notice it compounded with the fact that you wish you were somewhere else. I call it the "fukk this shyt" equation. Being at work*wishing your were somewhere else/ the amount of time you have left=fukk this shyt. When you're not thinking about time, or preoccupied with something, it tends to go by because you're focused on the task at hand and not time itself.

Is your work challenging? Do you have enough healthy pressure?

I find work to go by rather quickly. The combo of challenging workload, pressure, and constant deadlines makes it seem as if there is not enough time in the day.
