Frank Melton: Exiled over here from Texas and left his wife over there to "the business". Got into politics by being a mousy safe looking negro with money and surfed into office by telling the old white money in Bellhaven that he'd clean up the city (bellhaven is on the border between Jackson and South Jackson, "downtown" is marked by State Street), won.

Spent the next few years at war with Batman (albert daniels, I'm not claiming to know his dealings) while roaming around in bullet proof vests with shotguns and shutting down whole apartment complexes citing "drug raids" on the 6 o'clock news..

Old white people in the fondren district ate it up. Finally a Sambo (NOT an "Uncle Tom") to keep us safe from the nigras south of downtown.

A little while later..... "Why is he wasting our money on crack houses and apartment complexes with nobody living in them!?"

When there was no territory left for him to claim, white folks got tired of him.

Next thing you know, he was on trial for wasting tax payers money on drug busts while busting his guns.....

then some other shyt happened while he was on trial. He died of a heart attack right after impeachment, while he was "trying" to RE-RUN for mayor of Jackson..

Not a fun couple of years.

"Officially" succeeded by Chokwe Lumumba in 2013.

When I say "Shakur Family Lawyer" , that's not hyperbole. Dude represented Geronimo Pratt and all, going back to the 80s.

He won the official election on may 21, 2013. Dude was on some Claud Anderson "PowerNomics" shyt with maps and blueprints and diagrams and all for how to make the city better for blacks and the poor.

He had a stomach ache and checked into St. Dominic's hospital at the end of February, 2014.

Died of a heart attack right after!? That same day!

All of this can be Wiki'ed.

I heard of Chukwa. I heard of him. I didn't know he was the Shakur family lawyer though.....:ohhh:

How the HEEEEEECK, does Jackson go from electing a Sambo mayor that'll appease the good ol' boy Cac network in Jackson's suburbs, to electing a former attorney for the Black Panther Party? :dahell:

And they BOTH died? :damn:

Racism down there isn't just physical, it's SPIRITUAL. Boarderline demonic. But it's funny how the Whites turned on Melton and Daniels once they "cleaned up" the city. I bet Melton thought he'd come in and play the city, but he really only played Black folks, and got played by the old money. Senseless drug raids, to give Whites a perception that this Black man is on their side, just so those Whites can turn on him..... and than he DIES. And than a pro-Black lawyer comes in, and tries to put together a contingency plan that'll uplift the Black community. Than he DIES....:damn:

Demonically spiritual racism, friends......

My grandparents live in Mississippi and its :yeshrug:
My family has more money now than anyone else living there and we own our own land and my uncle owns a pond:ehh:
Aside from all the edomites Mississippi has a lot of natural beauty in regards to the landscape, I would go their just to fish or hunt:yeshrug:
nikkas dont fukk with cacs and the cacs don't fukk with nikkas we just keep to ourselves:yeshrug:

Damn near the same story as me.. I'm out there once or twice a year visiting family. We got about 30+ acres outside of Greenville. Even though I enjoy my stays the history of the state still gives you that :patrice:feeling when you're down there. I live in LA but I separate the city life from the country/rural lifestyle that way you appreciate both and there's no hangups or culture shock whatsoever.
