Is there a worse contract in all of sports than John Wall getting 16 million a year?

one of the most overated players in recent history. Classic empty-stats-case player.
Low basketball iq in the most important position on the floor, not even a top 10 player in his position and he's gettin the max.
So.. Yeah, BAD contract.
Empty stats? Without Wall on the floor the Wizards were the worst team in the league :heh:

The Wizards were 5-28 before Wall came back and 25-25 after

Wizards bidded against themselves but it was necessary to lock him up now. Wall is the franchise and he was drafted to be that. Now it's up to him to prove he's worth the contract and with his work ethic and commitment to improve I have no doubt he will get better and better.
If he would of been the 10th pick rather than the #1 pick with ask other things the same he probably would of gotten at most $10-12 mil per instead

They would have been a .500 team if he played all year.

You guys don't pay attention

i've watched ALL of his games in his first 3 years in the nba, because one of my favorite players was playing in Was the last 2 years.
John Wall has not showed me that he is a max player, no way..
He leads his team to a .500 record (that means nothing, cause his team was going nowhere) and that warrants a max contract?

The Wizards are an NBDL level team without him...you watching all the Wizards games should have become clear to you.

So either:
A - You just look at individual players
B - You don't know basketball

Either way, you should probably stop watching basketball

i know basketball enough, to understand that this guy, is not a playmaker but more of a 2 guard, (just like Westbrook) does not know how to run a team, when to run, when to calm down the team. he's not a leader, he skips plays especialy on defence, has a bad attitude on the floor very often, when the other team steal a ball and goes on a fast break, i've seen John Wall not going back to defence, just walk. He is not a good finisher around the rim (yet at least) his jumpshot is suspect at best, still, he averages almost 4 TO's. Etc etc.
Does he have potential? of course he has. Im not seeing him as a franchise player though, i dont believe in him, this is just me.
Would i give him 80m $ ? Hell no. He's in the 40-55 range.
