The more direct communication the better, non verbal communication plus alcohol and different expectations can lead to unsatisfying experiences, or worse, for both parties. You aren't teenagers, a simple, elegant way to discuss intimacy isn't hard.
Some of the things men (and women) say in general on this subject are just wild, and so divergent it should scare people.
Not all people communicate the same way, it's shocking how societally we haven't improved on the sexual script. It's probably America's puritanical origins, we still treat it like a shameful thing.
I bet none of the men in here, including me, ever got any good, safe, helpful advice about sex from people in their lives.
