You think anyone else could do what Juicy J did, going from recording with Lex in his kitchen to working with Kesha, Katy Perry and Biebs??

Excellent answer

Cam could, but he won't

Cam likes to give young talent a chance. He prefers working with younger producers, so you get what you pay for. He may collab with a few artist, but he's not going to join that ridiculous top tier circle where all these guys just work each other

I remember in an old interview like 10 years ago, one of his big reasons for forming the diplomats was to do collaborations, but keep it in house, that way if there's a hit song, they can actually perform the whole song on stage. It looks ridiculous if you have a hit song with another artist, but can't perform the whole song.

random, but didnt know Ross was older than Cam

I was going to say the thing that helped Juicy J and conversely Titty 2 necklace is they were in groups so they never really had the individual spotlight and the fall from grace of most other washed up has beens. It will be hard for a rapper who was once individually big on their pown to re-emerge because they won't be able to shakeoff the "has-been", "washed-up" stigma.

E-40 did it in 06, he even made a song about it: Got rich twice.

Nope.

Levels to this shyt.

Most named in this thread don't have the same ear for knowing what the average consumer wants to hear, and ability to constantly re-invent themselves and make their music appealing to a new generation of listeners, like the Juice.

Most don't have his business acumen & hustle.

Most haven't had the same consistent level of success over a 20 year period.

He understands how to succeed, in this industry in ways that alot of these so-called "legends" don't because most of his career was spent in a CEO/Executive type role with 3-6. He owned a nightclub in Memphis when he was 19 years old for christsake. The man just knows how to operate & succeed in business.

To be able to build an entirely new fanbase from scratch after 20 years in the game, most of which are half your age in the genre of rap is just :wow: and is probably unprecedented. We won't be seeing this again.
