Just to provide further clarification and context I’m from The Bronx and we know how much Hispanic woman love black men (We are fetishized by all races even our own sister’s sometimes) but i be checking bytches that say nikka every 5 seconds or have subtle anti-black comments about black women and our culture

It has become lonely for the under-50 generations whom, for various reasons historical, technological (social media/dumb phones) and personal, are wallowing in unprecedented group depression.

Nobody want to hang out with Brother Depression or Black Charlie Brown.

Instead, look at someone like Chuck D. He's been doing it on a high level for longer than many of the posters on this board have been alive. A legend and a success.

From my experience, many self-described “woke” Black folks, and that includes both hoteps and the super liberal Blue Check Twitter crowd, are incapable of having healthy debates. Like if you challenge them on any of their views or aren’t in 100 percent agreement they get violently angry and start questioning your character, your blackness, etc. It’s like they made wokeness their religion and debating them about it ends up feeling as pointless as debating a hardcore fundamentalist Christian

You look at all the Black intellectuals back in the day, especially the 60s, and while some of the debates got nasty, they were still open to having people challenge their viewpoints and offer alternative paths to Black liberation. Mainly because Black people are not monolithic. Even Malcolm and Martin were able to evolve and change some of their initial viewpoints. Of course that kind of discourse is missing in today’s political climate in general, not just with Black people. It seems like today’s intellectuals are more concerned with “winning” and playing to their demographic rather than genuine growth and nuanced discussions.

The other factor of course, which has been mentioned several times in this thread, is that even the knowledgeable folks who’ve learned all this stuff in college or in books are tired of the talking and the speeches. They want action.

Keep in mind @Jesus Bhrist I’m not saying any of that applies to you as I don’t know you personally. Just summarizing why many people get turned off by self-described conscious and woke people.
