There definitely was a civil rights movement in the UK, but like most things here, wasnt as documented or publicized as it is in america.

Things didnt just get better over here by chance. People made that happen.

Yep, but mostly the younger generation (ones born during the windrush era) i think. There was some influence from the american movement.

There is some information, plus some films and documentaries online that explain a lot about how it was for black people in post war Britain.

I remember this film from the 1970s did show some form of the civil rights movement here.
