Again like others have said, it takes a perfectly alligned set of circumstances and WWE willing to push them which is less and less

The fact that Batista and Rock had to get out to be bigger speaks volumes. Punk was kinda on the fringe as he was known with the rock scene/comic con scene
They've tried to push some of the Total Divas cast but that's been hit or miss.

Im sure Cena is gonna try one last time with this ESPY gig. He's probably a good SNL hosting gig away from finally making it although it would have been a long ass time.
