Stone island and Nike is as far as I go with designer
Both those brands constantly innovate and stone island especially makes high quality material. Clothes are only worth a high price if they’re made with added functionality, skilled care, and quality fabric imo
Clothes and technology gotta be quality to me. Fashion personally is best when form meets function. I don't believe in sacrificing comfort or quality.

But good fashionable pieces can be had without going designer. Especially the basics. It's stuff lime jackets and shoes where it becomes harder to skimp on cost and still get quality.

No cap whatsoever. Wtf is an "Italian fabric" my nikka :dead:

Fashion branding victim talk. You programed like a muthafuka

you gonna be waiting a while.. We not on the same wavelength. I cop pieces from anywhere long as they meet the standards. Not concerned with what the brand is. You can hit stores like Marshalls and find random one off joints from random labels that are dope. Go to a regular department store and find one off pieces that are dope. It's about you knowing how to actually shop. This is why so many of you dudes were taught how to dress by stylists and blogs. You have no actual fashion identity outside "designer".

Real fashionable people been doing this since before style guides. Making waves not riding them. That's the school I come from. Meanwhile you can't fathom having quality without designer. There's nothing I'll tell you to deprogram that type of indoctrination.

And if you were capable of.providing non designer labels that make high quality fabric/clothes, you would have

You were capping like a mofo, got called out on it and started rabbling

As an ugly guy, if I didn't rock designer shyt, I'd still be a virgin.

It was the only way to level the playing the field.
This is hilarious cause it's literally the opposite for me :russ: my boys would hit the club fresh to death Gucci'd to the socks while I'm out there in some shyt from Kohl's and a pair of Js putting up '96 Jordan numbers with ease

If you take care of your appearance and look good...folks gonna think whatever you wear is expensive.

One of the most important things about nice clothes is you've got to be able to style it.

I've seen some people absolutely kill a good fit because they weren't dressing for their body type/trying to jack someone elses style or they go all out with it and end up looking like a walking billboard. Most important thing is being in shape though as a lot of the look is about proportion and playing your strengths and knowing what works for your vibe.

Big logos were always :scusthov:and always will be to me.

As someone with a clothing line, anyone saying they can mimic designer clothing is fukking lying.

Yes you can have the same colors and look, no problem. Just like I'm sure that steak from Ruby Tuesday's LOOKS just like the one that costs $500.. But I assure you, it's not.

You can walk in a designer boutique and feel the fabrics and tell the difference. You can look at the stitching and tell the difference. Not the cheap shyt they make to sell in Macy's. Go into an actual Versace store and pick up their $300 sweatpants and tell me they feel anything like the shyt for $50. They don't even look the same. The buttons ain't the same. The weight ain't the same. The design is just a liiiiiiiiiiiitle bit off. It's just not matching up.

Again.. I'm not talking about a $500 white tee. I'm talking about a pair of jeans. A dress shirt. A tie.. It's just different. Same with a lot of clothes. You ever put on a $1000 tailor made suit :banderas: It's just different
do you have any brands you can recommend

there's not a huge difference

if you can style some shyt it really dont matter

the longevity or whatever people are saying isnt huge either
and the luxury car analogy is bullshyt too, most mid to lower level cars function and last longer just like the clothing if you know how to take care of shyt

you literally pay for the name
you can get suede cheap... or you can pay 800$ for suede with a name on it
its still suede

nissan, infiniti and mitsubishi all have a nissan motor

Come on fam lol.. You know there are varying degrees of luxury. Yes the functions are the same. But in one car you pressing a button and the other you are talking to the car.. Those subtle differences is what drives the costs up. Having a $3000 sound system vs a $400 one. Having auto wipers vs regular ones. Yea they all have the same MAKE of engine but definitely different models.

It's luxury man. You can have a sink and you can have a gold sink and they do the same thing... But one of them is a gold sink.

Here's the best way to describe why clothes cost more

“I took all the bones out, and I stitch, and to get there, you know, it took me forever. It took me six or seven dresses to make one. And it’s time and it’s money and we are not doing it in offshore countries — we pay 65% taxes in France! It is so much work. Doing a collection for me is almost like creating a vaccine. Once you create the one vaccine, then you can duplicate for nine dollars and ninety-nine cents. But see if you can create it for nine dollars and ninety-nine cents, and the answer is no.

So yea... You can make a cheapER or cheap knockoff.. But yours probably came years after and while they was hand stitching with picked fabrics in france, your shyt was made in a sweatshop in China off a bulk roll of the cheapest material possible

But yes.. They both are a white shirt

I dunno your last 2 paragraphs pretty much summed up the point to me
"years after" which doesnt really matter... unless we are talking about "impressing people by how exclusive you can be" which the people you stunt on wouldnt even have knowledge of whats exclusive at that point

and the whole first part about the car, and comparisons to features goes to what I did say about example
but its still not justification of something being 3000% better .... a 3000$ system and a 500$ system isnt going to really give you 6x the quality
auto wipers lol arent gonna merit 20k more or some built in "alexa" talk feature

none of that france and italy shyt is actually being hand stitched in that country... its designed there and produced the same way as everything else
there aint no italian gepeto in a wood room making silk blouses all day with 150% quality, marking shyt up 700%

its no different than guitar per say... you get the sound out of the pickups and magnets
people pay for the wood... 2000$ ... as opposed to 300-700$ .... but nobody gives a fukk about the wood, nobody is gonna touch, see or know what wood you are holding

clothing as an example is one of the most broken down, easily measurable examples of frivilous spending
I have gucci and LV jackets that cost a grip..... I got nike pullovers and all types of shyt in between
they are all the same... the seams fukk up equally... the zippers end up getting fukked up. I work in a 10$ Family Dollar jacket and it holds up year after year
all of this shyt only matters to how you take care of it... I can maintain a 1000$ jacket and a 10$ one. The price to functionality isnt the margin of discrepancy between usefulness. A TV is a better example where you can see a marginal difference over a minimal price increase.... they wouldnt just be like "this TV is better....8000$" that price doesnt equate to the actual difference in quality. "Designer" shyt is literally called that because you're paying for the designer not the actual item. nikkas are rocking Balenciaga's copying payless shoes and reversible hoodies for 400$ .... converses basically, with extra thick soles. Converses cost like 40$ ... probably 5$ to make

I agree with everything you said. I was pointing out the difference and you’re saying it’s not worth it. Well nah I’m not saying it’s worth it either. It’s opulence. I can sit on my pleather seats and you can sit on your ostrich seats and we both sitting on seats. I push a button to turn my heat on and your automatically reads your eyes and puts in your settings.

It’s rich shyt. Hardly ever worth it and not practical. But it’s not like someone is selling you the same thing and telling you it’s different. No it’s much much different. But can you afford the difference and is it worth it to you
